hkmp5roxs
My S&W SWAT switchblade. Love this thing... Great for a swat look! (seeing as it is black and says SWAT on it!) Sorry for the bad picture~ Edited December 15, 2005 by hkmp5roxs
badkarma1354
That actually looks like a hard fight to call as the small guy looks pretty fast, but I'm going to have to go with the big guy because he reminds me of me. You might cut a big guy several times, but he will knock you down and cut your head off.
HaVoC
I fully agree. I've carried a Spyderco Clipit Endura since 1991. I'm on my third one now - the old-style clip broke on the first one (they make it of spring steel now, much better), and I lost another changing uniforms on a bus (long story), and I'm currently carrying my third one. The serrated edge stays super sharp, and the one handed opening and closing is teh win. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it, I feel completely naked when I'm not carrying it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed again. My Spyderco Dragonfly is TINY, but has come in useful so many times. I'd love to carry my Desert Cruiser with me, but it's not exactly concealable - the Dragonfly is tiny and flat so it's there in my pocket should I need it (even for opening Cheddar cheese ). Lord Blackgoat
yes, fantastic handling, great balance, nice finish, it's just sad that knife fighting is restricted to holywood war movies... lol
J Marwood
Oh that's a whole different discussion Have a look at the WW2 era combatives manuals "Get Tough" by Fairbairn and "Kill Or Get Killed" by Applegate for more info on the way that particular knife is designed to be used. Lord Blackgoat
yes, but today's war is quite different. The most helpful knife a soldier can use is what we call "le tatoo"

Lord Blackgoat
The only knife of this type I really want to own is the model shown in Face/Off, with a Kriss style blade. It's the one John Travolta gives to the young girl to defend herself (and that she uses very well on his own leg!)
Silent-Panther
SOG Trident Tigerstripe. Sorry for blurry pic, I'm a tad shakey today and the card in my camera is all filled up.
HaVoC
A little christmas present... An Opinel no.8 folder Lovely knives, they are - I have one myself. Make DAMN SURE you keep the blade clean and dry, though - mine has rusted all to hell, and I need to sort it out some time. It's carbon steel, not one of the stainless steels, and it shows. LoneWolf
How do you like that SOG? I've been looking into one as they are pretty cheap. Pitty, no ExtremaRatio, Microtech or Masters of Defense knives? Sigh... Cheers, Mike ™
