The cyclic speed and recoil is (as usual) orders of magnitude better than with liquid-refill propellants, and even with the Guarder steel-specific spring and one of the included recoil buffers I feel like it could use a stiffer spring. I have also run it with CO2 with its PGC G17 slide (which also has a Stratos), and it smashes the slide into the frame so hard the impact points on the slide literally squashed ~1mm at the impact points. Adding a second recoil buffer stopped that, but I won't be running it on CO2 unless it's got the steel slide or it's really cold - it's just not necessary. The BBU does come with warnings not to use it with gases over a certain pressure and YMMV - I have barely put 5 magazines through it in this configuration. Can you make a video of the steel slide/Stratos/co2 combo?

Got Wood?
All that nice stuff and you didn’t change the frame? Why?
CALLAHAN_88
Did buy an frame from Rainbow8 but after an accident with the dremel it died! Was a little to optemistic when making the groove for the finger under the guard. 1
aznriptide859
That is adorable, the TLR6 fits on without mods?
Wingman
Just so you know, Recover Tactical makes a rail system that fits on the G26 called the GR26. It's a small rail but it takes minutes to install and can be removed with zero damage to your pistol. I bought them for the G17 and 19. I also purchased their GCH Charging handle and installed it on 2 of my TM/Guarder G17 builds and they are easy to install, no modifications are required and they work great. You should check out their web site.

Ivan le Fou
And here I am, again, with G-series magazines compatibility. Can a G34/17 WE mag fit inside a G19 WE? I am aware the G17/34 will be a bit longer, but that's not an issue. Ok, so I found the answer and it is yes. Edited February 20, 2019 by Ivan le Fou
johny_blaze
I have one of the WE g17 polymer mags that I use in my WE g19 without problemsSent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk
Ivan le Fou
So, here is my next question then! How do you mount compensators on glocks? Do you need a threaded barrel?
Got Wood?
Can confirm anything Tm/KJW/WE will fit and work. Any longer mag will fit in a smaller pistol. My G26 will take the 50rd long mags nicely
Wingman
Dynamic Precision has a comp that attaches to the slide. This way it does'nt add any weight to the barrel or have any effect on the pistols slide cycling across the barrel. No threaded barrel needed.

It was not a walk in the park, to say the least. I significantly carved out the area behind the slide, shortened/smoothed the beavertail on the pistol itself, enlarged the crosspin hole (hence the machine screw), and removed some material where it wraps around the sides of the grip. I'm guessing most, possibly all of that could have been avoided if I had just used a Gen 4 frame as it was designed for, rather than the Gen 3 frame I had, but by the time I realized what I was getting into it was too late to turn back. Got Wood?
Ah okay. Didn’t know it was designed for gen4. How much are they and who in the UK stocks them, if you don’t mind me asking?Gen5 19x in tan, with marking, ordered from KY. Also, been hankering to make my G17 the less tactical one. But it has an HK3P traded frame. What do people reckon those are worth nowadays?
CatgutViolin
3 hours ago, Got Wood? said: How much are they and who in the UK stocks them, if you don’t mind me asking? $259 US and currently only sold by Flux Defense, directly through their website. It looks like they currently don't ship outside the US, unfortunately.

Dj_komodo
My first build on a TM G19, just waiting on guarder to release a frame... Slide is from Nova and I used a dremel with fine grit sanding buff to take out the outer layer that annoyed me.. Edited March 18, 2019 by Dj_komodo

NonEx
Impressions? Saw a 45 minute German video on it and it looks pretty good actually. Not a fan of the 19X myself though 😐 Which store did you get it from? Edited March 23, 2019 by NonEx
Wingman
How good are these Umarex Glocks compared to TM, WE or Guarder Builds? I've heard of frames cracking at the pin holes and terrible finish (paint doesnt hold up to serious use).
