sturgis
I got to fondle Crimsons M500 yesterday, and i have to say it's a nice shotgun. got a nice weight to it, the action on his was very smooth. I only shot it once, but i didn't even notice it shot 5 BBs can you set it to different BB's per shot or do i need to go get stronger glasses? lol If the gas consumptions turn out to be good, i just might be tempted to get one to. bphilb
Make it 70% of the shots:the last are only good for short range, very short. I only did it once, so the results are not conclusive. Ill do more tomorrow. What kind of gaz did you use ?
ardrummer292
What kind of gaz did you use ? So I shot a bit with HFC Green gas Edited February 26, 2008 by ardrummer292
chas
Yay!! Mine is already broken! Woot! I wanted to perform another shooting test and the *badgeress* wont take thegas. Its not like leaks, but it just dont let gas in. A few BBs seem to be trapped somewhere; I cant take the stock of because the you need a giant screw driver wich Im gonna have to buy just for this occasion and the loading tubes wont come off, making it impossible to slide out the outer barrel. Yeepee!!....
ardrummer292
Epic fail.
Kai_Wolf
Dang, I hope it isnt something serious and it is just some trapped bb's indeed. I suppose this would be a big strike against the loading system then?
ninja828
and here I was all excited and planning my next shotgun project doing a full cost analysis for all the parts I was planning on getting for it....man that was a real downer post (no offense chas). Anyone else who has this shottie run into a similar problem?

Fin
Aboard mission, i'll have to go 8mm Seems the 6mm has quite a few problems that seem to pop up frequently
ninja828
just out of curiosity what were you planning to do with this gun? I know it's an 870 but there's a stock adapter for mossberg 500s w/ an upper rail adapter that would go on there for the full length upper rail Edited February 27, 2008 by ninja828

ninja828
That's the first shotgun i've seen with a sight that didn't look silly,i'm impressed. My thoughts exactly when I first saw it....now I want to recreate it...on a relatively decent shotgun platform that would compliment it's look, but if we start seeing a rising lemon rate of these ACM M500s then I may just have to scrap it... Crimson
Since everything in my review is the same as yours ile just post the finds: Problems: Power: is 200 fps its weak when i load only 3 bbs into a rod it shoots at around 280 slightly better, but since it shoots 5 it decreases the fps major Sights: These are plastic and got shot off first game not good, gun now looks fugly Gas chamber: This is hard to fill its like one of those we pistols when you cant hear the gas go in or when its full fizz out the bottom, also it dont seam to hold much gas. Someone told me how to fix these problems ile post some pictures when i get these fixed
1st_shooter
So can this take green gas to bring up the fps or does it have a dump valve like im told the marushin version has for too higher pressure? Also where can i get one in the UK???? I havent seen a peep yet i assumed LWA would be the 1st but currently no sign.
Fin
I usually hate tacticool guns but i like the look of that....maybe minus the knife though Also ironfoot.co.uk may be getting some in
Crimson
yeh it takes green and that was what i was using, hence my anger of fps issues, in the uk combat angel has it.

rizzini7
Well personally in my marushins i replace as many of the o-rings as i can with high pressure air-con o-rings and epoxy the purge vale. Chop the barrel down and remove sights front and rear. Very tempted with 6mm if anyone finds them in stock in the uk.

CAPAIRMAN
Hmnn I really really wanted one of these. Am now starting to wonder if it may not be better not to bother. If it's anything like the 8mm, don't bother unless you have a lot of time on your hands, and a place with a great o ring selection.
