Lerch
After getting all my kit sorted out last week from the RQ. Kicking some *albatross* at the MG range for our C6 and C9 quals.
TheFinn
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/Bla...69/DSC06561.jpg What kind of flak/armor vest is that? It looks like the German flak vest but with a different cover. Otherwise, nice bit of kit... And I am not jealous at all that you get all of that CADPAT for free... Lerch
Its the same pattern as the German carrier. Just in CF colors and Canadian made liners.
TheFinn
Interesting... I will have to see what I can do to obtain one of those.
navymp28
Cadpat in ACU cut at ebaybanned..that is all.
Lerch
Seen it, not too keen for it. It's the same type of material that Parklands uses to make their BDU's. The CPGear OTW shirt though...I'm gonna grab one before I head home next week Edited December 2, 2008 by Lerch
tome
The EB stuff looks better than the parklands. I have a parklands shirt and the ratio of the colours is way off compared to my frontenac trousers, there's way too much black and the green is far too dark. The EB stuff at least "looks" like CADPAT Edited December 6, 2008 by tome
Grim
CADPAT Assault vest on Ebay That is all! Grim
SeamanStaines
These CADPAT loadouts are really growing on me... shame I'm not made of money.
Lerch
CADPAT Assault vest on Ebay That is all! Grim Good show, the repro vests are apparently faithful to the original. Personally I can't wait to field my HSGI rig at the Olympics
Lerch
Packed my rucksack tight as f*ck, I'll be taking it to work tomorrow to toss into my locker. The CADPAT pouch is just for extra bits and bobs, holding the cover right now...
navymp28
Wow, how heavy is your ruck? Looks like you got that b*tch hella tight! Do you have a CADPAT Ruck cover for it?
Ace of Spades
Looks about right Learch. I can't wait to get some extra cash to start replacing the garbage 82' pack with a 64' in Cadpat. One of the WO's has one and makes even the RSM jealous.
Lerch
Where are you based right now? I'd recommend the CPGear pack completely, and especially if you're out east like me, but if you're closer to BC, then there's ICE Tactical that makes a good yoke and padding for the 64 frame. Ace of Spades
I'm @ CMR Saint-Jean, but next year I get attached to Black Watch in Montreal (finishing my degree) then its "secret squirrel" stuff =)
Lerch
*fruitcage*in' Mega! I kinda miss that place, mostly the mess. But yeah, if you can afford it, get the GenIII, tits above the rest! If you can only use the 82, I'd suggest the 64 frame and regular pads from Wheelers
Ace of Spades
No, not the Mega... Just south on the river
Lerch
In that case, lucky ######! Crazy amounts of ###### at the Mega
The Crunchy Bunny
Not to get of topic but, I just wanted some confirmation on the Canadian weapons desginations for a project, C8A1 is the Canadian Version of the M4A1 correct? Same with the C7A1 being similar to the M16. What is the designation of your guys SAW again?
Lerch
Here's a comparative list, though not the exact opposite they have the similarities. C7 = M16A2 C7A1 = M16A3 C7A2 = M16A3 w/ collapsible stock C8 = M16 Carbine C8A1 = M4A1 C8A2 = M4A1 w/ heavy barrel C9 = M249 Mk2 C9A1 = M249 Mk2 w/ optics rail C9A2 = M249 Para w/ collapsible stock C6 = GPMG
The Crunchy Bunny
Thanks man. That's really helpful. By "M4 w/ Heavy barrel", do you mean something similar to the British L11A1 SFW's barrel?
Lerch
That's it exactly. C8A1 on top, with a C8A2 (user modified obviously) below.
The Crunchy Bunny
Again, thanks a bunch man.
