  1. 1. Which manufacturer makes the gun, whatever it is, that YOU consider to be your primary weapon?

Custom for me.

Most of the time I use my M4 Zombie Killer which didnt have a doner gun. After that its my Magpul CQBR which had a doner Dboys M4 as a base but the only Dboys parts are the gearbox and motor and finally its my bone stock TM M14 socom.

I'm currently scratch building a new primary AEG but progress is slow.

JLS F2000. Mainly because I don't have anything else with comparable reach. I just can't imagine skirmishing with only a pistol when everyone else is packing upgraded AEGs with hi-caps. I just bought a JG M733 to have an alternative when situation requires something more 'Nam.

I voted custom - because Project AUG has parts from pretty much every manufacturer. The original base unit was TM, but that was replaced with a CA AUG A1 when they came out, but it still has a TM gearbox shell full of third- (or fourth?) -party parts, and I have barrel assemblies from TM, CA, JG and I think I've even got some BE parts in the mix. Not to mention a few parts that are genuinely custom-made from scratch to my specifications.

I think that melting-pot ought to fit anyone's definition of "custom" - even great airsoft gunsmiths like Candyman use some off-the-shelf parts for their creations.

I voted JG. I'm cheap and they work. I use them as base guns to upgrade. I have 3 JG gearboxes laying on my floor right now all fine and working perfectly.

Pretty reliable too, usually my battery dies or something, but the guns is usually fine. In fact I had more issues from my old upgraded G&G AK-103.

I was look at the data and I am starting to notice some trends, RS has 5 votes so those people probably want a more unique gun. TM has 30 votes they have a lot of pistols and those are probably a base gun or a starter gun. CA is a starter gun before all the Chinese clones. CYMA has 6 votes, anyone up for some AK? A&K has four votes those people are probably support-gunners. And the people with Classic Rifles are probably snipers or they've been playing AirSoft a long time, or they want a collectors gun.

-If I was into AEGs, I would choose Systema. It is just so expensive. I mean I could get 3 GBB rifles for the price of any of the colt series. :P

-I am anti-TM. It is the basic of airsoft like a glock with firearms, but just because everyone has it, does not mean it is good. Just like P.O.S. Glocks. Wouldn't you rather pay $1500 for a H&K Socom rather than a $400 Glock. Just saying you get what you pay for.

My primary was my CA M15A4, until I got my cyma AK. It's so comfortable to shoot, and 3 skirmishes in, completely reliable. Only modification it's had is one of infecteds mosfets, and the spring cut slightly to bring it down from 355fps to 340fps. (And even with the mosfet in the stock, you can fit a 3300mah 8.4 in there, making sure battery changes throughout the day are a thing of the past :) )

Dboys M4. It's mostly stock although has a good amount of custom work in it (MOSFET, new spring, bearings, cylinder head, etc.) Everyone on my team that's used it loves it and we've yet to encounter a single problem. Smooth as butter when it cycles.

Unfortunately its my brothers' (which is probably fitting since he's my team's best player), however, one way or another, I end up using it more than my own CA SLR 105 Para (which is great other than a crappy, flimsy stock).

You're joking right? TM's last three or four times as long as basically any gun maker listed baring the classic type. And as for you comparison to Glocks... I hate glocks, but if you think an H&K SOCOM is better in any way when compared to a G17 or 19... you ought to ask yourself why SEALS choose the SIG instead...

You read my mind. I don't shoot anything but Sig Sauer handguns. I own a p226, p229, and a 230. I use my .357 sig p226 as my duty weapon. It is the greatest weapon made(in my opinion). I wrote HKs because I know the price difference in comparison is significant as well as the quality. Sigs are cheaper but are still $900 - $1000. Their customer service is by far the best as well, and replaces factory parts very well.

I can't stand real steel HK MP5's either. I rather have a Colt M4 9mm CQB. It is more reliable.

Anyways, TMs last long but doesn't make it a great weapon. My first airsoft gun a UHC mini MP5 still works, but doesn't make it the best because it has lasted this long. The TM wiring is good; however, it has been outdated with better more efficent quality weapons/companys. It is plastic, low FPS (but consistant), and felt more fragile then the guns I own now. At the time it was the best ever because I knew nothing else. I even sold my first TM M16a1. It just is not a good "Out of the Box" gun and requires upgrades. For the serious player just buy a pre-upgraded, quality built weapon.

Just my Opinion your are allowed to disagree.

But yeah, I've been using my TM Type 89 exclusively for over a year straight. Fantastic gun. I've never felt the need to upgrade it since it keeps up with every other gun on the field as it is.

I really don't have a clue why people are saying Maruis aren't good guns. They last forever and they perform brilliantly. What's to debate? Sure, you can argue semantics, and I don't mean to detract from other good brands, but overall Maruis get the job done very well with very few problems.
