Shinden
Kodiak, the G36K uses the standard G36C AEG magazines so there is no bolt catch function. The bolt catch is a dummy like the one on the G36C.
zard
Shame its a G3 SAS No it's not, it's a *fruitcage* travesty. The SAS is out there for everybody to buy already. Why not just sell the new motor parts and have people be able to upgrade their V2s themselves, rather than giving hope to those of us that want something new*? I noticed on the G3SAS that there are pictogram markings on the 70's era trigger housing. IIRC, arent pictogram selector markings exclusive to the all plastic "navy" lowers. Do not want. ... Its the same with the G3 abomination. Navy markings on an SEF lower. Bit of a dropped ball on TMs part. Made up guns don't have to conform to your real world knowledge. *yes, I know the G3A4 isn't new, but it's not in production.

WhutJP
Hm, I should've looked closer. The pic that shows the g36 with the grip and silencer shows the mags there, they look exactly the same. Sweet, won't have to buy new mags.

Video (Windows Media Player) imho i want one of those G3 SAS, the only G3 variant I've not got , and that PX4 SO SO SO SO SO WANT IT NOW!!

Warning
thanks for that, i thought the G36 was a tad like the G3 and the MP5 in that the charging handle wasn't attached to the bolt, but i guess you learn something new every day
baggard
the g36k has that "recoil"system

MCXL
Oh boy. I think I found my AEG to back up my WA. I hope mag well conversions fit.
Mig1
ah, and in that one he says the mags are the same. sweet. defo getting one. I disagree. By not including their new bolt hold open design I think TM missed an opportunity here to advance the sport further, not to mention missing out on new magazine sales. Hokum
Well, everything now is revealed... Tokyo Marui new products revealed They are: CQB-R, AN/PEQ-16, G36K, High cycle (some new line with high-speed gearboxes) MP5A5, G3 SAS, Detonics .45 (how the heck I could thought it's a Deagle? ) and Colt Python which were announced earlier. Rob15
MP5 drum mag only has a 400rnd capacity, thats less than some M4 hicaps! I'm almost tempted to get one for my MP5k PDW so that when people start (and they will) moaning about drum mags and drum mags on MP5s I can be smug and point out they carrying much more ammo

Rob15
So? That would defeat the point of having a drum mag to annoy people then allow a huge amount of smugness, if I wanted ammo capacity I'd just buy a stack of normal 220rnd hicaps
Vercingetorix
That CBR looks teh sechs with that TD stubby and EMOD. If TM makes the Emod capable of holding bats like the sopmod, I might just have to get another m4....
WhutJP
I disagree. By not including their new bolt hold open design I think TM missed an opportunity here to advance the sport further, not to mention missing out on new magazine sales. Yeah, in some ways I agree with you. However from a buisiness standpoint I think they made the smart move. When they introduced the sopmod with the new battery and new mags it didn't sell as well as they were hoping because people didn't want to buy new mags and batteries all over again even if those battery and mag systems were an improvement. So they released fairly soon after the sopmod that m4 that took the old batteries (wasn't much they could do about the mags). I guess they didn't want to encounter the same thing again with the g36's.
MCXL
it seems like they could make a setup that allows use of the old mag in addition to mags with a cutoff lever. I mean the G36 mags are more realistic then most as is.
Mig1
You can already make or buy an adapter to use the old mags in the new gun. TM could easily sell an adapter as an "option part".
SniperSidd
I have been watching this thread and reading the links. Maybe I have missed it but has anyone seen any kind of price for that new G36k? or when we can start preordering them?
