I thought for sure a 9.6 could be used, and how would changing the spring make the piston more durable??? I was gonna buy a CA36 rifle, but I am not sure if it cant take a 9.6. And yes, CA36s are fine on 9.6v batteries stock, just don't get a gigantic one with a really high mAh rating or discharge rate, and don't be an auto-######. You'll be fine.
