chatham
Anything constitutes it, because SF wear what they want. Speaking very very very generally, majority of people tend to do, 2001 Afghan, Task Force Black, and Multicam Afghan. First one is hiking clothing and ops vests, second is American camo and Paraclete RAVs, and last one is Multicam and Paraclete plate carriers. and nice kits from the previous posts. Staffy
Ok let me rephrase my question. What gear makes a realistic UKSF loadout? My cupboard content.

Murta369
Just to answer previous posts , yes they are emerson copys , cant justify the real mccoys at the minute. and the top is made by SOLO INT. a company based in hereford (cough cough) lots of there kit is floats all across the board in the british army
Staffy
and the top is made by SOLO INT. a company based in hereford (cough cough) lots of there kit is floats all across the board in the british army Really...? Joking apart: SOLO manager has a highly respectable career in some British Army top units. Para Rgt., Pathfinders Platoon, A Sqdn. 22 SAS, plus roles in specialistic SAS cells. It's all in the leaflet you find in their parcels. I'm a SOLO stuff n°1 fan...
nickberry66
It's all in the leaflet you find in their parcels. Then it must be true then. joking aside - whats the quality of Solo's gear like? I've only ever driven past the place so I haven't been able to get a good look at the quality. Nick, I don't think someone who own a tactical shop in Hereford be so stupid to tell lies (written on leaflet) about his service in the SF without being crucified in the main square, do you...? Quality is the proverbial dog's testicles IMO. Got the ATP SAS smock, and the ATP 3-in-1 jacket. I give 9/10 for both items.

I'm just pulling your leg there Staffy as if you want to look for people in Hereford claiming to be ex SF you just have to speak to virtually any taxi driver, delivery van driver or pub landlord. The place (and the surrounding area) is seemingly brimming with guys who were 'that second man on the balcony' or whose brother-in-law busted scuds somehwere hot and dusty - hence my comment. My guess is that they liked the place so much they just decided to settle down here. Nice to hear the quality is up to scratch. I'll have to pop in there the next time I've got some spare readies. I know the bloke, worked on some trials with him (got a load of free stuff off him too) He was never 22, was in SF signals for a few years. Darkchild

Darkchild Dark, Maybe your bloke isn't the one with that service described in the leaflet...? Dunno lads, just my thought... Definitely if I would work in a place like SOLO based in H (then with high chances to get in touch with real blades) I wouldn't write that leaflet... I could be pointed as the biggest Walter Mitty in town...
boomheadshot (infidel)
My RAV is getting there, got a few small touches to add to it. Its a rather battered Guarder one based on the 03 version (zip goes up, no push buttons) but it seems to fit in as any 03 RAV's still in use would be rather shagged by now. I'm going to add Push buttons to the cumberbunds to help secure it. My CT1 box is off getting converted finally, it will be hooked up to a D shaped ear piece and later on a set of sordins when I can afford them. It also needs a VIP strobe and the large cable ties for zip cuffs. Later on I want to make it full armour weight, add a dummy MBTIR set up with whip Ariel and maybe a few paraclete pouches as well. I'm trying to get it all finished in time for OP Dragons claw at Iraqistan As ever any advice is welcome

boomheadshot (infidel)
Your just jealous! If I was a yank it would not be so bad, but being as *fruitcage*ed up as me and wanting to join the forces is going to unleash a whole kettle of fish

TheFull9
Yeah I'm pretty heavily left-eye dominant, I still shoot airsoft rifles right handed though, as long as you practice and set things up to work for you it's not a problem.

Blackjack13
Cool pics as always Murta! Quick Q - What rigs would be suitable for a 2010/11 SAS recce loadout? A SOHPC/HPC would look stupid on me (6'4"), and I already have a Warrior 901 so would rather something different (so not Blackhawk! RECON's), which kinda leave my options limited!
