hey guys,

my loadout so far. changes are new karrimor trousers, short barrel on the m4 and rail covers.

Need the butt pad and new pistol grip. I have a ready mag to go on it. Probably should have put it on before i took the picture.

face is blacked out because i dont think UKSF wear glasses... :(

Edit: annotated the pics the wrong way round.

cheers mate. I've kinda given up on trying to do a loadout from any particular era, and just go for a UKSF loadout.

Well you are about 90% of the way to getting a 2001/2 A'stan UKSF look going. Only things that need to be altered are the right ACOG on the L119 as well as the 16" barrel, and a tatty hiking jacket or DPM/DDPM Smock rather than the S95 shirt. Also some flight gloves rather than oakleys. It looks pretty good and with a little work would be excellent.

thanks!

I was thinking of taking a pic wearing the issue fleece i got when i was a cadet, similar to the one you posted, but i doubt UKSF would be seen dead in it. i will retake pics tonight with a combat jacket (DPM) and see what everyone thinks.

Edit: I see what you mean about the ACOG though. Unfortunately at the time i was buying it i just went for a basic m4 look. i cant really afford to change it (ie get a new one), so that might have to stay for a while. maybe if i take the "fibre optic" out of it, it might disguise it to the untrained eye.

off to take piccies.

cheers for reminding me. i was supposed to get a hacksaw this weekend, but forgot (family drama). should be able to whip it off in no time though.

I think as it is (/ hopefully will start) getting warmer, the thermal top and then the combat jacket will probably be the route i go down.

once again, cheers for the comments.
