Reppyboyo
Why the heck is the 30rd version 9 dollars more than the 45rd version?
Habakure
Deranged typo? Possibly they've got the prices mixed up. I was looking for a new mag, as the mag that came with my mates Apache (MP5K) won't hold gas at all. When he tried to fill it with gas, it just vented straight away.
fabio
Has the Mp5 been released yet? or is it just the Mp5k at the moment?
Habakure
Just the MP5K.
blobface
45 rounds is very skirmishable.... looks like a full size version is a must.
jkpics
It looks a bit like the 30 round comes en a steel shell, and the 45 is a just a casting, but we have to wait untill somebody takes better pictures of them.
Horsem4n
yeah, the 2 mags look very different. the 30 rounder definitely looks better.
jkpics
Yeah but you see if the 45 have more gas and more BB's it will outsell the nicer 30 round like a 100 to
Brigg
Though, they seem to be shaped the same. So apparently WE never did anything about the magazines being the wrong shape.
Horsem4n
So now they will look like the smg from FEAR http://www.imfdb.org/images/7/71/RPL_SMG.JPG
Horsem4n
Cant edit, but found a video of a mag dump with a long mag: He also has a couple othe slow mo vids of the long mag if you check his vids.
blobface
The exposed BB mag really bothers me.... will the 30 round version be covered?
Habakure
Honestly, the exposed bb thing doesn't bother me. Same with my Vector. It's nice to see if the bb's are stacked nicely and how many you have left.
blobface
It's definitely useful... I have the Kriss too but somehow it's done a bit more gracefully on there... the mp5 ones.. it's just... argh, I dunno.
Habakure
Maybe you're looking for an excuse not to get it? I think my mate got a bit of a lemon (what withy the rear sight base being wonky and the mag not holding gas otb). I still want one of these and I reckon 45 round long mags will get my vote. blobface
I'll definitely get it, not the mp5k but the full sized version when it's released, and if the 30rd mag is also exposed, I'll basically have no choice but to get the 45 round version (since if they are both opened, might as well get the one with more ammo)... I've always wanted a MP5, my VFC one was version.1 which is pretty much hopeless, I've seen first hand that the later version (the version without the separate extractor) actually can be made to work, I'd still rather go with WE for its generally reliable gas system and potential available parts from RA-Tech.. but that exposed mag just reminds me of the Well MP5K... (not even the Maruzen one, I know they are meant to be the same, but something about it reminds me of it, it seems to be thicker than real steel dimension as well)
Wingmann
My main "hate" is that MP5 selectors are always mushy or they directly drop off. WE's one doesn't look very good in that video.
Reppyboyo
Some slightly better pictures of the mags on RSOV:http://www.rsov.com/product.php?langId=1¤cyId=1&manufacturerId=10&prodId=19166&cateId=115 45rds^http://www.rsov.com/product.php?langId=1¤cyId=1&manufacturerId=10&prodId=19167&cateId=115 30rds^
Habakure
Ebay banned have the 45rd and 24rd mags also. So, the 30 has a closed bb reservoir. That should please some people . . .
Reppyboyo
Just noticed something with the RSOV listings, the 30rd mag is listed as a "Classic Lightweight" mag, 0.4kgThe 45rd mag is 0.6kg.Is the 30rd mag all plastic construction?
Habakure
Hhmmm. Only one way to find out, is to buy both (45 and 30).
bankz5152
hmm the 45 round mags longer than the 30s? Im very excited for the A3 when it finally comes out, think it was annouced 3 years ago with the AUG
Jim01
Why are the mags so odd looking?
jkpics
I will be getting both a 30 and a 45 tound mag to take a part and look at, will post pics if nobody beats me to it
PureSilver
Why are the mags so odd looking? The curvature's all wrong. Nobody seems to know why WE made them like that, either; there's no obvious or compelling reason to do so.
