I get why people say "I don't care", when asked if they do, but I never get the need to tell people, when not asked, that they don't care.

 

If I don't care, I don't mention the subject/thing, that I don't care about. It just seems odd. If you don't care, why being it up.

 

My view on the birth. End of the day, they are two people bringing a child into the world. Good luck to them, I bare them no ill will or think calling a new born baby a parasite, is in good taste. Unless you can see in to the future and they become a person, worthy of such a term (more power to you, if they do become a parasite).

I don't get all this hate for the Royals and I often hear people burp out nonsense relating to how much they cost us every year. The way I look at it they generate a lot of interest for the UK and bring in a lot of tourists who help generate funds for the economy. 

 

In reality its the thousands of lazy dole grabbing wasters who leech off the system while giving nothing back that I'd consider to be the parasites.

If you want parasites, just look at most of the council estates in England. At least William is out there doing something, the real parasites sit around getting paid to watch Jeremy Kyle and spawn more parasites.

Either way irrelevant of if it is a boy / girl / thing I still think that the Royal Family should just be made to live off what they earn from their many tourist attractions and events and we stop paying them taxes.

 

When that happens I will be very happy, as for a baby being born Private Eye has it right in its own sarcastic little way.

The fact are head of state is a figure head rather than a president elect has huge advantages too.

I don't have anything against the baby at all, what I do have an issue with is the media coverage, it's just insane!

 

The news on TV this morning is "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have spent their first night at home with their new son"

 

Spending the first night at home after just leaving hospital having given birth? Holy *fruitcage* *suitcase*, that has never happened before! Who saw that coming?!

 

Next they'll have breaking news that they had breakfast this morning, then lunch etc.

 

The media need to get a reality check, there are far more important events happening in the world than just another couple having another baby.

 

Also, *fruitcage* lol at the Private Eye cover, sums it up perfectly.

The link does hate on the royal family a bit but it does explain how the 'public money' they get comes from a portion of the money that is generated from the Crown Estates anyway, the rest goes straight to the treasury.

It's taking the ###### a bit now.  I've avoided BBC news due to it's ridiculous amount of coverage.  Just went on there and the top story is 'Baby name yet to be decided' Now, I'm not a media expert but I'm pretty sure that is not news at all.

 

I mostly feel sorry for the plebs lapping this *suitcase* up.

I'm happy for them to have had the child and that all are well but I don't like the rediculous media coverage, especially with how William's mother died (before anyone starts with the conspiracy theories, just don't please). Can the media just give them a little privacy so they can enjoy some time with the new baby

 

Also re the parasites comment, from what I've heard for every £1 we spend on the royal family they generate £4 back into the public purse

I don't think any of what has been shown about the whole thing is really news. It's certainly not important and it's questionable whether it's interesting.

 

The people I really feel sorry for are the reporters who have to pretend to give a damm and be excited, unless they genuinly are excited in which case I pity them.

 

I must say I also feel sorry for the un-named child that had the amazingly unique experience of staying at home the night after being discharged from hospital last night who is now going to have the media following him everywhere, watching every single thing he does and reporting it to the world.

 

To make things worse, once he hits his teens he won't even be able to download porn and do what every boy does, and if he does the media will have filmed it, and got sound recordings, poor deprived child.
