seagullman
only 200 being made... :[
blobface
I'm predicting a $800 price tag...
renegadecow
At only 200, I don't think $800 will even cover half of it. On to my WE version then.
blobface
At only 200, I don't think $800 will even cover half of it. On to my WE version then. IIRC didn't GHK only make 200 x AK105s?
renegadecow
They did? Didn't really think that seeing some around still being sold. Still, that's just too much money for me.
blobface
They did? Didn't really think that seeing some around still being sold. Still, that's just too much money for me. I remember reading somewhere.. *found it: http://www.gasguns.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=10744&start=0 Not sure what their sources were but yeah, but it's different though, GHK mass produce stuff, not to mention they probably just used LCT AK105 parts that were widely available. Hephaestus's OTs-14 however are truly bespoke.. so you could be right that it'll be higher than the $800 mark.
White_Death1
It's a shame Asbestos are not mass producing these,I would have loved a compact AK bullpup. Being limited edition I'm expecting a ridiculous price tag,but since the GHK AK105 was just below 500$,there seems to be hope.
Hopna
Now I know I need one. Looks a little awkward to shoot though, but once you're used to it, I'm sure it shoots fine.
Horsem4n
where do you put your off hand?
Zombie00
In that configuration you don't have much (real) choice but to put it together with your shooting hand. I'm not entirely sure if the real thing was meant (not talking about capability here) to be used like that, there were 3 task-specific configurations for the gun: Stealth: http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/_thumbs/Images/assault/as09/ots14_03.jpg GL: http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/_thumbs/Images/assault/as09/ots14_02.jpg Barrel extensión+grip: http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/_thumbs/Images/assault/as09/ots14_01.jpg Oh, and for the 762 version there was also this: http://www.sinopa.ee/sor/bo001/bo04av/bo04av05/oc14groza05.jpg Whatever it might be...I mean, Russian weapons are emmm... very unique looking?... well, they don't seem to care about aesthetics and that awesome, that is why I love them so much, they are just as ugly as I'm, but this last one is the ugliest of whole family. renegadecow
That's probably the reason why the 7.62 version got canned. Now imagine what the 5.45 version was supposed to look like; that didn't even go through with a prototype.
Desert.Express
I think it's going to be released on the next days: (ugly as f*** btw, nowhere close to the RS version that is nice)
MRF
I am pretty surprised that no one pointed that out before... This production unit apparentely differs from prototype above, and what I want to say is that carry handle angles and proportions in this replica are just a pure EPIC FAIL... MRF
Yeah, from some point of view. Still it hasn't supposed to happen, considering the price of this toy. And this price won't be low for sure.
Desert.Express
If it was 1:1 and fully licensed, the high price we're expecting would be probably fair. But for that, I'd give Ghk 200€ and a Bounty. Because I'm feeling generous.
blobface
Sometimes I don't get these airsoft manufacturers, there are extremely high res pictures on the internet of this gun, it's really easy to scale it from them... how could you possibly get it that wrong. Reppyboyo
I still want one >_>
renegadecow
*shrugs* I'm still making one.
MRF
We'll see. They are clearly pictures of two different pre-production samples. And carry handle of one of them looks pretty decent...
rusTORK
Buttstock look's ugly and stupid. Mainly b'coz it's made of metal. Real one have got small metal plate and rubber cap on it. I am already sent them pics of RS, hope they will fix it.
hwagan
But... but... Where do I put the magpul parts? It's almost like they've built a gun that can't be westernised! Still, even if it's not totally accurate to the R/S, it still looks pretty snazzy and it's built on a well known reliable system. The way I figure it, if you've got a GHK AK, this is another gun that'll take the same mags, which is nice when you own a GBBR. I'm all for it, even if I can't put a CTR stock on it. blobface
Well the trouble is the gun model is so niche that I feel only really hardcore Russian geardos will be into it, and when you're into something that different, you would probably care quite a bit about the details... I have an SR-3M... I'd love a OTs-14... but not when it looks like this
