Azulsky
I would like you to meet my friend Shiela I think in favor of finding a die and retapping the PDI chamber im going to bore it out and pin the cocking tube to it Edited October 15, 2009 by Azulsky
Warning
thing is I have one but not a Dremel, but one of those own brand DIY store ones, but in all honesty I haven't a clue on what things do what Isn't that a tad drastic, there mr Azulsky? and surely PDI parts should already fit together all nicey nicey since they cost so blooming much? Azulsky
lol i wish I had all Genuine TM little parts too so i don know what screws they expected to carry over to the kit

Just need to get one of those 14mm converter thingys so i can shorten the flash hider section down, then front wire it and then sort the freaking gearbox out, and BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!! I've got a G3KA4 I tell you all that effort wasn't really worth it
Grey_Fox
Why not unscrew the 2 small screws in the barrel (underneath)? Mine (CA M41) has them but I havent tried it so far.
navymp28
nice warning...I wish the navy style lowers were still avaliable...
WaterWar
I finally got to install my woodkit on my G3 Here's the outcome: Enjoy
Grey_Fox
How difficult was the process? I have a wooden kit for my G3 and I am missing the G3 . I am concerned about the handguard and the base of the stock with the 2 pins. It seems to be a bit wider than the airsoft version.
zard
Nice wood kit, although it looks a little strange (IMHO) with the OD Magpuls
WaterWar
@ Grey fox I payed someone to do it for me, so I have no idea how difficult it is @ zard Yea, the OD magpuls look a bit weird, but I like using them during skirmishes. Functionality over beauty.
Azulsky
The handguard is more of a PITA than the stock is if that means anything. Good work. I eventually gave up on it myself. Yeah sucks about the navy lowers being gone. Im glad i got the ones i did. Oh well would probably end up buying a G&G anyway if i was up for another g3 Edited October 19, 2009 by Azulsky
Seraphim989
That looks great
Warning
Thanks but there's an obscenely large gap between the upper receiver and the cocking tube which is currently annoying the hell out of me. I have to agree with the navy lowers aswell there needs to be more, that said for my build I used a FS51 since I couldn't get hold of a lower
Devlin1977
Still a work in progress but you get the idea.
navymp28
Devlin...G3K? Does it have the G3 length cocking tube or a HK33?
Red_Dog20
Devlin...G3K? Does it have the G3 length cocking tube or a HK33? It looks like a proper K. There's only about three centimeters of handguard behind the bipod divots on a K, while it's more like six or so on a full length forend. First time I've seen an MP5 stock on one though. Different, but I don't think I'd care for it much on my own. I do wish there were more detents on the rifle stock though, it's far too long for me, especially if I'm wearing armor. I may have to try and mill some more into mine.
navymp28
didn't notice the MP5 stock the first time...I would like to figure out how to mod an MP5 navy lower to work with mu G3K.
Devlin1977
The front end is from an HK33k and the stock is from an HK53, the stock is longer and wider than an MP5 stock. I'm afraid I cant stand the G3 sliding stock, it does'nt sit well on the shoulder and just feels like some-one is poking you with a stick.
fadedcorona
another Wood G3 Feel unoriginal but ehh. I have many other G3 configurations/parts, this is only one, ha ha I think I like it almost as much as my barrel mounted 203 G3. I wonder ... should I get a carry handle for it? also I know, I forgot to put in the other stock pin AK for reference, also it looks sweet with the G3. Don't feel unorginal, you're like the sixth or seventh dude in the airsoft playing universe who has one. I would go for a good sling rather then the carry handle, if you're not interested in the aesthetics of having one...
Lon
Cool CETME. Always wondered, where does the battery go?
WaterWar
Cool CETME. Always wondered, where does the battery go? I have a 11.1v 1200mAh lipo in the stock of my wood-G3. It seems to be the only place where there is room enough.
Lon
Nice. Are the wood stocks usually hollow out of the box, or did you have to make the compartment yourself?
WaterWar
Hollow out of the box. It was used as a storage place when the wood kits were in service. There are two screws on the end of the stock (the shouldering pad), and after they are removed you have access to the storage place.
