Hedganian
Awesome. Now take away the cash "incentive" and make it open to the courts as sentencing for certain criminals. Except rapists, child-abusers and the like. They get "castration" instead of "sterilisation".
shmook
they should open it up to chavs too; "wot? youz give me 200 squid, an i cant get no bird preggers? sorted mate, cheers!" they dont breed, and the gene pool stops becoming diluted, and there will be a smaller generation of benefit-scroungers, helping the economy... -Angel-
Better still we could form a group of specialists to round up undesirables into some kind of camp, where we could concentrate them into one place. That couldn't possibly get out of hand... Anyway, its not like its compulsory. If some crazy person wants to throw her money at junkies thats her and thier business.
amateurstuntman
That's not bad, we could also get them to do menial tasks for us, if they work enough they could go free. You know, work sets you free.
shmook
Jawohl! Sie haben eine gute idee
Triggerhappychappy
Meh, people will always say its a good idea to prevent scumbags from inbreeding, and someone else will counter them by bringing some nazi reference- thing is, scumbags & chavs do not = jews and gypsies, though then again, modern gypsies are just like traveling chavs... Anyway, the government is talking about putting a cap on child benefits, so that families of layabout & scroungers wont be able to 'earn' more money from the welfare state compared to the average household income of a working family. Thus, there is less of an incentive to sit around and inbreeding in order to generate income instead of going out and getting a job ( or atleast trying ). Funny, I could swear these are all ideas that have been raised in this very thread... ( Hi Dave! ).
Arghoslent93
George Osborne. Fantastically lampooned almost every day in the Guardian by the legend that is Steve Bell.
Hedganian
Guess what? Yes... ParcelFarce. The good news is that someone finally managed to get a barcode scanner and my parcel together in the same place, at 0424 hours on Wednesday morning, and they scanned it as "released from Customs with charges" - which is interesting because I know that Customs finished with it on Friday at 1500 hours... Several hours later, at 1006 hours, it was "sorted in Hub" ready to go out to Manchester. It arrived in the Manchester Depot at 2211. Now, I checked on Google Maps, and it gave under 2 hours as the travel time from the Coventry Hub to Manchester. So quite why it took them 10 hours to ship it up here, when the item is the subject of a highly escalated complaint, is a little annoying. If they'd got off their *albartroth* and sent it up to Manchester straight away, I could have my guns today. But no, I now have to wait until after work tomorrow... But at least I will get them. So it's not all bad. In other news, I learned today that I'm through to the second stage of the interview process for the job I applied for, so that's good too.
Skarclaw
George Osborne. Fantastically lampooned almost every day in the Guardian by the legend that is Steve Bell. You can understand that *suitcase*? I assume its satire but I don't see any humour.

Danke
Why is it that at least once a week I'll get an email from someone in the UK who's on a school or university course and has chosen where I work to study. They then ask for a ream of confidential information for their presentation and assure me this will never fall into the wrong hands or be realized on the net. I have to let them down without doing a full on dream crushing bit that you can't just hand that information out for fun & they are going to have to do their own homework. Kyrian_Zenda
Where do you work/what do you do? Or should I say, how much can you tell me about your job without either of us being shot...
Hedganian
A while ago, my brother in law asked me to provide some props and weapons for an amateur film production he was involved with. I was happy to help, and provided a whole bunch of airsoft rifles, pistols, claymores, and gear to them. Now I've got it all back and I'm discovering damages and missing items. This makes me very unhappy, especially when some of the things are things I specifically warned them about (like the vulnerable foregrip on the AUG). So now I have to check every single item for damage, itemise it all and come up with plans and costs for repair or replacement. Then try to get them to pay for it all... Very annoying. Very, very annoying.
Danke
Where do you work/what do you do? Or should I say, how much can you tell me about your job without either of us being shot... I work at a bicycle company, one of the small/cool ones. So a bit of a magnet for individuals.
amateurstuntman
Father-in-law's girlfriend. She just gets on my nerves. She is a foster parent too and we got invited to fireworks last night. Nobody told us there would be a whole load of maggoty kids there (one with a mullet, one with a flat cap and a couple in barbour jackets!) and some snobby types asking why we didn't have kids, made them feel really awkward by offering more information than they wanted. What really gripped my *suitcase* though was this: Watching a couple of working class people, father-in-law (lorry driver, 350,000 house, no mortgage) and his girlfriend (no job, 450,000 house, no mortgage) "joking" to the aspirational upper middles that they only foster for the money - hahaha - and that the foster kids paid off their mortgages - hahaha - IN FRONT OF THE KIDS! Hedganian
Sounds about right. They actually advertise for foster "carers" on that basis... Still, the little brats are probably still better off than they'd be otherwise.
amateurstuntman
Not sure on that one - He blamed my wife when she was raped. It messed her up quite badly. Bad parenting in the extreme.
Hedganian
Is bad parenting better or worse than no parenting at all? Discuss:
amateurstuntman
Don't know. However, there is a system in place to prevent morons and berks from becoming foster carers but it just doesn't work.
