hitmanNo2
That is a bargain. Around me you're looking at a bit under double that for a one bed flat.
FireKnife
That sounds bad but then the North East area of Scotland has hardly done itself many favours, especially with the general lackluster attitudes of the councils up there from what I recall. But the issue I find is that it is like student lets on private accomadation. They assume that someone else is 'footing the bill' as it were so they just don't bother about payments and such. The other thing being they can always find a way to defer payment for whatever reason which doesn't help either. Sure some of them have genuine reasons and it is not easy to tell who is who but I bet a change could be made if the few wasters just got up, went out and did the *suitcase* job we have all done at some point in our lives, accepted they have to start at the bottom and realised that they can do something in life. Probably doesn't help that these schemes can be manipulated easily too as the council don't want to 'look bad' if they turfed out the few families that are bending the system. Personally I would rather they did. This is going to sound horrible to some I know but if you put yourself in a situation where you are just wasting taxpayers money because you can then you deserve to be out with the only way back in being to work and at least make something of your life (and I mean that little percent, probably all of 1%, that are screwing the system over since they hit 16). Anyway rant about failing councils and pathetic people that ruin useful systems for the rest of the poor and needy with genuine reasons. 'FireKnife'
Habakure
Supposedly I'm a white night, with no balls I'd like to add, because I think a person receiving rape/death threats, has every right to feel terrorised, and that they shouldn't have to put up with it (rape/death threats). All because the person had the audacity to say women in games, are generally portrayed for the male viewer, and are normally sexualised (tomb raider for example, having big boobs doesn't help her tomb raid). Naughty Kev. How dare I think it's not okay to ring people up and give them abuse, to them and their friends family. I must be so naive. I didn't realise that we live in such a mellow enlightened society, that threats of rape and or death, are seen as normal and acceptable. I am so behind the times.
FireKnife
Eh, I am confused? Genuinely. So someone phoned someone you know and made threats of death and rape? That is just awful. 'FireKnife'
Habakure
Not quite. But yes, threats of rape/death have forced a well known YouTube person out of their home (due to police advice). All because they said that computer games have (in some not all) mysgonistic elements to them. I don't know them personally, but when I voiced an opinion, that threats of any nature are unacceptable, I was called white night with no balls. It's not about the opinions this YouTube blogger video person has, it's the fact people think it's fine to phone up a person, just because they don't agree with the view expressed (on a YouTube video), and issue death/rape threats. In a sick way (intentional irony) they've proved the point the person (who has received the threats) right (to an extent; men use rape as a threat against women they don't like. Yes, not all men but in this case a lot of men). It does make you think 'what the hell', when you read some of the comments, that people think are acceptable.
Tinkerton
Death threats are not on, no matter the reasons behind them. While personally I don't agree with some of the tweets/opinions voiced by this person, (the hitman game isn't about looking after hookers, it's about being a hitman) they're entitled to their opinion, and being a human bean with some common sense, it's easy for me to just scroll the *fruitcage* past in on my twitter feed. hitmanNo2
Todays tube highlights. Stinky perfume lady. Sits down behind me and suddenly boom, a stink bubble envelopes me. I try to blow the smell away from my nostrils but more smelly air replaces it. I think she bathed in it. Cough lady. Lucky she was not near me but constant coughing. Fair enough she's ill. But no *fruitcage* hand over her mouth. And finally scratchy head man. Sits down, hand goes up to his head. Scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch. Hand back down again for a few seconds and then back up again. He may as well have just left it up there. The sound of his nails on his scalp will be burned into my memory I think. Luckily it was only one stop.
Cannonfodder80
I haven't seen the you tube video in question but from what I've read above the woman does have a point. The majority of gamers are guys so the designers are simply catering to the majority of their customers. Anyway, my rant for today is the halfwits I have to work with. 6 months ago I made a simple suggestion to make the job easier only to be told no. When the same subject comes up again the twat in charge acts like he just thought of it and decides to implement it
Tw1tch
So guy I was supposed to move in with has decided he needs to get a place, so is looking for 1 beds now. Fair play to him, he starts on the 8th and needs to be in town. Its not ideal but is necessary. Should be in the other thread but its not all bad, another good friend (who happens to be my airsoft amigo and lift to 'softing) said I should let a room with him and his other half when they begin looking for a place. This works well, more people so less costs, we all airsoft so the living room and garden (if we have one and its not overlooked/neighbours are cool) can be used for airsoft stuff, and well he can be my phys buddy. Also gives me some more time to save, however I do need to splurge a bit of cash to feel better (but I also need more load carrying kit), so Voodoo Tactical Mini Mojo, black or tan? scorch
I read that as voodoo tactical martini. These need to be a thing.
Tinkerton
Doddery old fool just crashed into the back of my car (not the corrado, fortunately) while I was minding my own business waiting for traffic lights to change. No major damage to my car, but he swerved to avoid (didn't avoid... typical) then after hitting went over the other lane of traffic (no cars coming thank god) and into a wall. Oh well, this makes my saturday interesting, at least. (all parties ok, fortunately)
Spudgun
My rant for today is Workplace Pensions. Yeah, you heard me right. Workplace Pensions! That Government scheme where they STEAL 1% of your wages without your permission, so they can give it back when you retire. Well, I've got news for you Government. As soon as the paperwork turns up, I'm opting out! I'll get back the money you've STOLEN from me. I'm even going to tell you why Government. Gordon Brown. Remember him? He was that dildo who was once in No11. He raided the Pension fund "Because it was there"! Does anyone seriously believe that the Government will 'ring fence' this money for Pensions? Nope. They'll 'raid' the fund and give it to immigrants and send it as foreign aid. What really burns is that millions of people have had 1% of their wages stolen from them. If everyone opts out, the Government gets to keep the interest on the money. Kiss my butt Government.
Habakure
Nearly every government has raided the pension fund (the public sector pensions). My rant:- (small rant, in the grand scheme of things) looking for my hacksaw blades and they've magically disappeared. *fruitcage*.
amateurstuntman
I pay 6% and my company matches it, when I am 40 (soon) it will go up to 8% and they will match that too. In 4 years (at current projections) I will be able to move out of my house into a static caravan (a nice one) and have tenants pay the mortgage on this place. There is 24 years on the mortgage and when that is paid I will be 61, if things go well I might be able to pay it off by 55. I should be able to retire at 60 with an army pension, a private one, my work one and either no mortgage or tenants paying me an income to pay for the static caravan. I had a great time today at Cool Under Fire, I used the P* for the first time at a skirmish and it performed flawlessly throughout. I had put a new hop rubber in it last night and once it bedded in I had 45rps with 5 round bursts and a lovely sound. I had the air bottle in a hydration carrier and barely noticed the weight. I got some new mags recently (thank you Darklite) and while the King Arms followers couldn't really keep up with the rate of fire before I have put Hunter-Seeker Armouries universal enhanced bb followers in them and they feed brilliantly, I had 2 unfired rounds in each mag after they went dry. Great day overall but there were 2 pistols and shotguns only games and all I had was a rubber knife and grenades. I might have to get a Marui gas M870 and rig it for external HPA. Boom. Edit: Wrong thread, my feet hurt.
Tw1tch
I read that as voodoo tactical martini. These need to be a thing. That'd be amazing. I do want to build a RIS mounted teapot for those moments you need a proper brew.

I also have an Army pension, but I don't get it until I actually retire (I didn't do 25 years). I also have a private pension which matures when I'm 60 (2020). Then there's the State pension on top of that. I'm all for making plans for when you retire, but I object to being forced into it. There's no way I'll be retiring at 60. I need a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I'll be opting in to the Workplace Pension scheme at that point. Until then, the Government can bite my butt. Additional rant. I blew the inner head gasket on my 70cc Aprilia RS50 (It's my toy bike that's a heap of fun to thrash without mercy). I can't get the gasket on its own. I can only get it if comes with a new cylinder head. That's £45 to fix a bike with a £2 fault!
shmook
Can you not make a new gasket?

Tinkerton
get some silicone gasket stuff. Saying that, the stuff we use at work (VW branded fancy pants stuff) is over £45 a tube, so you're better off just changing it out
Spudgun
I remember "Instant Gasket" from the late 1970's. What a pile of poop that was. Sure, it was silicone based, but it didn't seal anything. Then I discovered Blue Hylomar. Damm good stuff that I've been using ever since. However, it's only good for paper gaskets. Moulded silicone gaskets: An evolutionaly dead end?
amateurstuntman
Then there's the State pension on top of that. I forgot about that, I suppose I will be able to get a chocolate bar a month or something. I remember "Instant Gasket" from the late 1970's. What a pile of poop that was. Moulded silicone gaskets: An evolutionaly dead end? The rocker cover gasket on my car is silicone, that's not a problem. The problem is that the rocker cover is integrated with the top half of the bearings for the cams. Idiotic.
shmook
I am in bad books. Not a fracking clue why. She is even miffed at me trying to rectify the situation. Not a fracking clue why. Women. Snakes with tits.

FireKnife
You know what your options are? 1. New woman. 2. Single life and porn. 3. Suck it up as they are really all the same. 4. Go play some airsoft and get away from the for a while. 5. Buy ear defenders to remove the noise. That is just some but there are many, many more. Though as I am, I think, 'with someone' now I will start having to see how it pans out. They did manage to hold a pistol right first time so maybe that is something? shmook
1. No chance. 2. No chance 3. I know, just having a whinge. 4. No chance. 5. Not worth the nagging and hassle if I attempted that! She's ok now. They are bloody strange creatures though...
