Mathub
i didnt know there was somethijng strange about the slide, unless you meant the sighs ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, the shape of the slide is not usual. I mean a gsr slide is not rounded, what suits perfectly the rail. A tle/rl2 for example, has a typical rounded 1911 slide, not a good match with the rail in my opinion. phoenix360mute
i see what you mean, the bottom of the slide, and where the dust cover/rail meet

Titleist
Wow dude, that's friggin awesome, you guys were gushing over my gun, well....I'm drooling over my keyboard. How does she cycle with that massive aluminum can on the barrel? Looks like Pitt's gun from Mr. & Ms. Smith.

1911
HitmanNo2: I have to give 2 thumbs up for that dude!! Very COOL!!! Couple of questions 1. What happen to the plunger? 2. Is that a custom silencer? Thanks man..... Edited September 25, 2006 by 1911
hitmanNo2
Titleist, haven't tried it on the silver one, works fine on the black one though. Lithium Jack, it sure is. 1911, 1. I assume you mean the recoil plug? The gun is occasional in pieces, I just used a random recoil plug from an SV. I'm trying to source a Springfield one with the hexagonal hole. 2. The suppressors custom in that it was once a King Arms Delta Force Suppressor, many hours, sheets of sandpaper and dead drill later it is what you see before your eyes Edited September 25, 2006 by hitmanNo2
Evilgenius
hitmanNo2 that gun is nothing short of beautiful. Was it insanely expensive?

hitmanNo2
Hmm, lets see, donor gun was £130, slide was around £50, frame was about £90, grips were about £20 and the barrel and adapter was £20. So thats around £310, plus some other stuff that probably takes it to £330/$

ViciousV10s
Luvin the black slided one, are the grips on the silver slide brown, they kinda down the look of the gun. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Both grips are the same "Black/Silver" style as sold by Kimber. What I really wanted is the Char/Ruby version but they were sold out everywhere I found them...I plan on buying them once they are restocked. hardboiledcop
got my raptor back from phoenix, and as stated by him, the right side of the ambi safety is pretty loose and unable to disconnect the safety with the grips on.. i think either they dont meet together perfectly in the middle (ie too much space between them means they dont properly interlock) or there is too much play where they do meet. either way, does anyone know a way to solve this problem? pinching the right side of the safety makes it work perfectly a couple of times before the metal goes back to its original shape and stops engaging. Ill post up some pictures later on today, but for now i have to head off to university.. cheers, hbc.

1911
Are the grips on vicious's gun different from one another?? I can't see the difference.....I'm color blind:( But those are very nice guns indeed!! I would switch the slidestop tho....just my 2 cents.
ViciousV10s
Thanks guys. 1911 - the grips are the same, but the lighting makes them look a little different from eachother in the pics
