El_Tom
Prolific, the Webtex assault vest, the mag pouches are tight, even for airsoft mags, the utility pouches are a bit smaller than the issue ones and the build quality with Webtex is dubious, same with the Viper M83 SAAV, the genuine deal would pay off in the long run fella. Â WickedBassie, very Para Reg capbadge there Globe & Laurels over the left eye for Royal. Aside from that, nice gat, might not be too long before we're all seeing Acogs on the L85 Edited October 23, 2006 by El_Tom

Aside from that, nice gat, might not be too long before we're all seeing Acogs on the L85 <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  Well Tom,  If these cap badges are not the same as the chaps that look like a Royal Marines to me is wearing, you may send in Hans, and he can slap my hiney, and call me his b*tch...  Unless the chaps in the pic are not very good at being a royal marine   Oh btw... I am the geezer on the right in the pic you referred to
El_Tom
I know the capbadge is right mate (hence my reference to the Globe & Laurels) I meant Royal wear their capbadge over the left eye. I didn't word the post too well I'm afraind  Sorry for the mix up on who's in which phot Edited October 23, 2006 by El_Tom
WildCard
So above which eye are we wearing the capbadge?
El_Tom
Directly over the eye mate, not offset slightly, sorry, being picky, I'll shutup
WildCard
Â how many of them are wearing the capbadge EXACTLY over their left eye? Â I rest my case
El_Tom
Yeah, I admitted it was picky of me.
SPG
Â how many of them are wearing the capbadge EXACTLY over their left eye? Â I rest my case <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â Front row third from the left? But you can't see because it's hidden under their hat. (what do I win?)
Kipper
I think what is being referred to is the way it should be worn  Marines usually wear the cap badge over the left eye (as all regiments should) but some wear it differently.  Paras pull the cap badge onto the left side of the head, whereas arty pulls it round front. Each to their own i guess
Prolific
Picture proves nothing, could all be officers. Officers never wear berets right.. Â Ta for the link to the guy selling the vest 1st. Sorry I missed you on msn.
Grim
 how many of them are wearing the capbadge EXACTLY over their left eye?  I rest my case <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   Isnt the guy in the back row 3rd from right abit short to be a storm trooper... I mean Royal Marine lol  I will have pics of my SA80A2 Carbine up as soon as i get the digi cam off radion.  Grim.
Justin!
Cap badge is SUPPOSED to be somewhere on the left, preferably over the left eye. ALWAYS!! Â FULL STOP. Edited October 24, 2006 by Justin!
1st Commando
ah but the Paras started the fashion of wearing the badge further around and then the line regiments started copying. most regiments are quite funny about such things and in some way it is seen as a Para "priviledge"
Kyrian_Zenda
Well, you try telling someone who jumps out of airplanes with a gun for a living that he's wearing his cap badge wrong...
nuclear_darkness
Um *points to self*, Royal Irish Regiment anyone? caubeens? We wear the cap badge to the left hand side of the left eye, Howver most, including myself prefer to wear it right around on the left hand side of the head
1st Commando
thats differant as they have a traditional head dress as opposed to the normal issue beret ! Â same goes for the Household division among a few others
Justin!
The cap badge for all services in the UK is usually worn directly over the left eye, with some regiments allowing a little variation dependent on size, shape, and the cockading or flourishing of the badge. 1st Commando
note the word "usually" as stated above some regiments do not use a traditional beret in favour a thier cultural alternative

Lance Jackass
In reality i don't suppose they really give a *beep*. Â In cadets we had a "hinckley dip" - a dip behind the capbadge. Then theres the "marine tilt" where the beret is slightly angled rather than straight across the forehead - seen a lot in falklands pictures. Then theres para style - closer to the left ear and armoured style - sort o swept backwards somehow.
