Yeager
Highly unlikely. The rest of the universe is much, much larger than Kalifornia. And if we run out of space in this universe, we can always invade one of the infinite others. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless you have a firefly class starship, or a Star Destroyer your choices are pretty much limited for the time being. Chimpy
Do people call California Kommiefornia because it has restrictive gun laws? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Also the high incidence of 'liberals'. Even though they have Arnie as Governor.
Sale
Well he's toted his fair share of weapons on screen, but I've understood he personally signed the bill which effectively banned .50 caliber weapons (or at least rifles) in Kahlifornia.

Jason@EmpireAirsoft
I have an Heckler & Koch P2000 chambered in .40cal as my daily carry handgun. Also have a preban style M4 with all the extra's (RIS, vert grip, flip sights, etc) for tactical shooting events I attend. Going to pick up a new HK 45C as soon as they hit the market too. Those .50 "Assault Rifles" are killing people right and left. [/sarcasm] The only .50cal assault rifle I know of is the Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf. They called a Barret M82 an Assault rifle! On another note: I was watching a show about the North Hollywood shoot out. One of the guys referred to the muzzle of the gun to the "nozzle." Hardly what I call an expert. evilliboba
A lot of that came from the North Hollywood shootout. It is not the law abiding gun own citizens fault that LAPD did not have a modern weapon and that some wackos got an assault weapons illegally. Oh well that is the way it works. The laws prey upon the good guys and do nothing to the bad guys as they don't obey the law. Edit: I can't spell today.
Crazy_Harry
of course- the law exists to enable the police to differentiate between law-abiders and law-breakers. As such, it will always penalise law-abiders, if by penalise you mean "reduce access to controlled items or limit behaviour" such as drugs or certain types of weaponry, or certain behaviour like reckless driving, while the law-breakers will be able to carry on doing what they do, until the police catch up with them. such is the nature of law. Jagdraben
Which is hilarious given that historically law enforcement organizations were intended to supplement the crime-busting citizen. Not to supplant him/her.
Skarclaw
Fixed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That doesn't really answer my question, do people really associate California with Communism...Because of gun laws? If so, I think people really need to re-read the definition of communism, or just start to read in general.
Jagdraben
I think you need to grow a sense of humor. I've heard that stem-cell research can do wonders, so you needn't wait long. EDIT: And while you're at it, you might want to read the definition of communism and then pick up a history book and compare the two.
AaronHorrocks
That doesn't really answer my question, do people really associate California with Communism...Because of gun laws? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. "PRC" is offten used to abbv. "people's republic of california". not just the gun laws, but VERY high taxes, extreme socialist laws, and other minute factors.

sekiryu
I remember that, the cops had to go borrow AR-15s from a local gun shop owner to take down the robbers. Which are now banned in Kalifornia, unless you have one of those ugly stocks.

AaronHorrocks
Own a tracer round? it's a felony. go to jail Own 10 tracer rounds? it's 10 felonies. go to jail. getting arrested for the above is NOT civil. The police will BREAK DOWN YOUR DOOR, shoot you dog, pin your wife or girlfriend to the ground pressing a shotgun to her head, assault you, and violently cuff you and drag you from your house. It may seem like extreme right-wing paranoia, however it's happend before. and it's happend to someone I met. he's in jail right now, because he had ammo linked in more than 10 rounds together. Ok, but I fail to see how that is 'extreme socialist law', I don't think anyone from our two countries can even comprehend what is 'extreme law'. And how about the high taxes? I'm genuinely interested in what you consider high..
alpha54
Exactly how high are these taxes and how 'extreme' are these laws? sekiryu
Aren't tracer rounds legal with a NFA tax stamp? But then again, I don't think any Class III dealers exist in Kalifornia.
