Schnitzel with noodles - what made you smile today?

Well, yes. Although I'm too poor to enjoy burning fuel for high performance any more, I have to keep things economical to try to save money. In other good news, though, apparently the mobility people have increased the rebate they give for returning the car in good condition to £500. They aren't any faster at paying it, but it'll definitely be handy when it turns up.

    9mm AR GBBR’s?

True, props for them for going with a seemingly RS sized bolt for realism but I just can't see it working out in terms of efficiency.

    9mm AR GBBR’s?

Yeah it would work a lot better as a simple short bolt, that travelled as far as a slide, potentially with all the same internals as an GBB Glock, just a different blowback housing.

    9mm AR GBBR’s?

Yeah that seems pretty excessive for what it is. However in real terms the 9mm bolt isn't much smaller at all. Though for airsoft's sake, surely a system more similar to the MP9's etc would work better?

When I said optimise, I meant 'most satisfactory' for me...

Nice. Gives me hope of salvaging parts for my own G3.

    Gunmane's Gearbox Woes

Update: figured it out today after a bunch more times being frustrated: the external selector pieces on the gb were too sloppy to properly move, wrapped a bit of tape around the main one that the nub sits on and works fine. However a new issue has occured: I am finding that on semi I am getting partial cycles. My shimming is probably the best I've done, nothing else is catching, so either it is the asg mosfet wiring not working out or something else electrical, don't think it is the trolley though. Planning on removing the asg mosfet wiring and putting on the old set and seeing if that is indeed the case. If not, part shopping ahoy I guess...

My first build on a TM G19, just waiting on guarder to release a frame... Slide is from Nova and I used a dremel with fine grit sanding buff to take out the outer layer that annoyed me..

I'm not generally a fan of OD furniture but it looks very cool on G3s.

It started life as a TM G3 SG1 years ago although not much TM is left. The the smaller externals are TM e.g. the outer barrel, iron sights, etc. The metal body and grips/stock are CA. The internals are a mix of different brands. At this point I wouldn't label it anyone brand.

Interesting spring adjustments. What effect did the shortening of the nozzle spring cause? I'm going to try your fixes

There is no problem which cannot be solved by increased firepower. In other news, I had no problem at all getting the new car, so that's good. It's all very shiny and has so many buttons... It's going to take ages to figure out how to optimise all the settings. Fun times.

I can't think of any problems I have in my life that couldn't be resolved with the appropriate application of 105mm.

    9mm AR GBBR’s?

It looks like it still needs a lot of work yet. Looks like a massively ridiculous bolt for a 9mm SMG. Stupidly large ejection port too. Just a prototype I guess.

    Gunmane's Gearbox Woes

Figured I'd share my latest gearbox madness before work. Rewired the cyma bizon yesterday but I hit a snag that despite consuming my entire night could not be resolved. For some reason the cutoff lever and selector plate are not agreeing with each other. At first there were situations where even outside the receiver I could not push the plate foward or backward without a stiff resistance from the CoL, and it would fire either only in full auto or if forced the other way first, in semi (and the semi would often seize up. I've tried replacing the CoL with the SHS one, replacing the trolley for one the trigger unit would catch better, etc. but to no avail. Atm I can manipulate it to work fine when outside the receiver, but when placed inside it will only do one or the other modes despite the selector lever position and position of the gearbox (meaning if I move the gearbox around a bit sometimes it will transition from full auto only to semi and vice versa). Nothing is catching on anything in the body afaik.

    9mm AR GBBR’s?

I reckon with the smaller profile ejection port you could happily have a bolt carrier group the size of a slide or less. Hardest part would be where to have the buffer so that you actually felt any of the workings at all, which is half the appeal.

    9mm AR GBBR’s?

Essentially an MP9 wrapped up in a AR package. I can see issues with gas efficiency using glock mags, even if the bolt is tiny and lightweight. That said... I'd probably pick one up!

One for each leg. Strongly suggest you should purchase a Chinook for heavy rain season/moving it up mountains. And a light gun.

AFAIK Iron has one under development that seem to use TM mags
