  1. Anyone know if you can fit a real steel AK74 rear sight block on a WE AK74?

      Dimitri MdP

really late, I know, but the answer is "kinda". A friend did. It can fit, but requires a lot of moding.

  2. So the TM M&P9 and M&P9L have different BBU units. Are the nozzles different too? Or can I use a standard M&P9 nozzle?

    1. intinerious

      intinerious

Nope, difference nozzles, kinda like the G17/G18c difference.

Bummer, time to buy more parts lol. Thanks!

  3. So I just learned the P320 allows for modular lower grip changes because the FCU is housed within frame. Purchased a P320 X-Five grip to see if the VFC M17's lowers will fit in it, then move onto a P80 grip to be a bit more unique. Hope this goes well!

  4. If anyone has a G&P 8" URX outer barrel, all retailers keep saying it's 210mm long; is that from the base of the barrel nut, or the entire length from trunnion end to threaded end?

  5. Dude built a 3D printed H&K G11, but the gearbox's piston is attached to the body to simulate EBB? That's gotta suck for reliability.

Knowing how crazy good the guy is at making stuff, he probably has a means to work around it.  So many neat things popping out now compared to actual companies atm.

Would love one for my HK Collection, wonder if he's gonna make anymore.

  6. TM please make a GBB version of this in the future. This thing just too adorable.

Just got to get Marui Man to hold one somehow.

  7. Has anyone ever ordered direct from AST Taiwan? Are they legit/reliable? Finally found somewhere with an RATech Mk23 steel slide :D

      PureSilver

I think they're just RA-Tech's factory outlet, so yeah, they're reliable. I think I have had parts ordered on my behalf from them.

Anyway, don't buy the RA-Tech Mk.23 slide, just buy my gun. Or if you don't (grr), get a Mafioso slide kit instead - it's better than the RA-Tech.

Well that's tempting AF lol, didn't even know Volante made a BBU for the gun.

  8. Is anyone here located in Japan/able to order some parts for me direct from TM? I'm trying to resurrect a clustertruck of a MBK Desert Eagle kit, and need to replace the nozzle parts and some others. Thanks!

      Have you tried Impulse101?

  9. Curious but is eHobby going out of business or something? Almost their entire site is on sale, and their inventory is like 1/3 what it used to be. Would sad to see them go :(

My friend who went there didn't say, just said they were closing down.

Expensive rents maybe? city is killing small independent businesses.

It's a shame because the staff there are really polite and friendly, unlike some other Airsoft retailers in HK.

    4. hitmanNo2

      hitmanNo2

Hmmm.  Maybe.  You would think it work just fine as an online only retailer in a commercial space somewhere with cheaper rent though.

  10. That moment when your sale thread gets tons of upvotes but no interest PMs T.T

  11. Has anyone here ordered stuff direct from either Ace1Arms or JKArmy? How's their reliability/shipping time? Want to try to get something from them for the first time.

    1. hitmanNo2

      hitmanNo2

I ordered from JKArmy for the first time this month. Took 3 business days to ship. Seems standard really.

Have ordered a couple of times from JKarmy , standard hit or miss HK delivery times , you know the usual thing sometimes days sometimes wks ! But always arrived .

      nilz

Jkarmy can take a while, but they're reliable. The stock on their website isn't always accurate however.

  12. Does anyone have one of those spotted phallic toy KAC suppressors that could do me a favor and measure its diameter? Promise it's not for something lewd lol.

    1. PureSilver

      PureSilver

I make the diameter of one of the realistic-size ones about 38-40mm including the heatshield. If you're planning on having it inside a rail system, note that it has a QD mounting system, the tallest bit of which (at least on mine) protrudes another 5mm.

  13. I remember someone here a few years back said that Tanaka Lugers have some kind of inherent flaw to their function, but I don't recall what it was. Does anyone here remember/could direct me to where that thread was? Interested in getting a Tanaka since I'm never touching the WE one ever again.

      hitmanNo2

I seem to recall an issue with the firing pin not retracting so it gets borked when you insert a mag. Excessive dry firing shatters the pin too. Plus don't use green gas or you'll have a bad time.

So tempted to get one of the sets with the dinky G3-like elbow pads.

Sir, you are a true Anglophile!

I don't really like BA, their staff are pretty sour, Cathay Pacific for me!

  16. So, um, I got a battery stuck in the tube of my ACR folding stock. How the hell do I get it out lol?

  17. I'm confused, I thought ASG just rebranded *suitcase* and didn't actually make guns themselves. Am I wrong?

    1. Gunmane

      Gunmane

It seems they are a little of both. The blur of the line (or lines) get confusing after so many years I feel.

They assemble the Evo 3 themselves but everything else is made by OEM factories

  18. The moment when you realize you pay $80,000 for your education, and one of your professors quotes the Daily Mail in their powerpoint. *facepalm*

    1. Gunmane

      Gunmane

eh, most of my professors back then couldn't teach their subject matter if their job depended on it. Explains why my degree is worth less than toilet paper.

The worst part was the quote was from the 'showbiz' section in an article talking about kanye's newest clothing line.

Well you'd expect a bit more considering you're getting a doctorate degree in four years lol.

  21. STI Executive build almost done! :D

  22. Has anyone printed more realistic stickers for TM/clone shotgun shells? I thought I vaguely remember someone did it here, but I can't find the thread/picture about it.

    1. danr

      danr

I, too, remember something about more realistic stickers. I think they were breacher shells. But I also can't remember where that was.

how good are the cyma shells?

    3. Wild_XIII

      Wild_XIII

The CYMA shells I have for my shotgun work fine. It's the double eagle ones I find can have feeding issues sometimes.
