Headhunter3
its called a K12 and we use it in the fire service to cut through anything metal. mostly car hoods, metal doors, bars on windows...etc. its like a hot knife through butter. but a SF unit using it....now ive seen it all. NICE!!!!!!!
jnr4817
yeah I have seen it used to cut all kinds of things. you are correct, its like a hot knife through butter. Its really loud too.
Catch22
Here's a pic of one being used.(in Training)
Sinner101GR
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok, check this out. I think these are SEALs on a Combined training excersice. Notice the Mk48, the CIRAS on the far right guy and the Norotos NOD mounts. Lack of IFF flags, they arent showing off who they are either. They have guns, gear and birds that SEALS are known to use (M4 shorty with a Crane stock and the Mk.48) as opposed to the guys in those pics with Mk46s and standard M4s. Just my thought, I am not sure, but they are wearing gear the SEALS are known to wear, and they are using guns and arent tagged like the rest of the Rangers. also, I believe this pic right here: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i36/trfo2o/SF.jpg shows a man that was killed a year or so ago, might be good to take it down. I am very sure its him.
HeuteGegangen
Rangers have had the 46 for a while now, ciras is part of rlcs, the norotos is 5 point (ranger version) and ranger m4s seem to mostly have crane stocks these days. Not to mention all the other photos these go with. Those are rangers.
SilentScope
And where do you see a CQBR-length rifle?
Jagdraben
also, I believe this pic right here: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i36/trfo2o/SF.jpg shows a man that was killed a year or so ago, might be good to take it down. Carter
Quick question: I know it's from different times, but would an OD FSBE and ACU's (plus other stuff, of course) be ok for a Ranger-ish/general Army SF look? Edited May 1, 2007 by Sgt. Carter

Rangers are issued the Norotos mount. They are wearing gear that SEALs are known to wear but it's a different colour; Ranger Green. Also like SilentScope said, I can't see a single M-4 without a 14.5" barrel. Dude you need to work on looking at as well as taking photos. Quick question: I know it's from different times, but would an OD FSBE and ACU's (plus other stuff, of course) be ok for a Ranger-ish/general Army SF look? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> FSBE is meant for amphibious units, unless someone can show you a picture otherwise I don't believe any army units have used them. For any SF look you have a really wide choice: Anything from MLCS SFLCS Paraclete DBT If you want a Ranger loadout you can't have an -ish. Rangers are rather more strict with their SOPs. You have to go through the painful task of finding RLCS gear.
HaVoC
Just to mention, I have no problem with people posting AFSOC pics in here although it's arguably not quite the right thread. Awesome photo he posted, though, so I really don't mind...
tommyknocker2121
Well.... I meant for the thread to be just Army but didn't want to limit it to just SF. So.... it got the SF & SOF title. I should've named it "Cool US Army Pics" So..... Who gonna start the "AF SOF - TACP, PJ, EOD" mega thread? I got pics to put in it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Done, post 'em up! thomasw
I hope I can get pictures from my teammate, hes fresh into service and placed in a ranger batallion. He just finished jump school like a month ago I believe. He's B Co, 1-41 Inf, 3 BCT, 1st AD. I'm sure hes on the ranger track. He is very hardcore.

master_titled
Noobish question: Do Army SF operators only use Beretta's 92F's? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're SF... They can use whatever they want.

BARsrule2
They've been seen using Glocks before. Most carry the issue M9... there was some talk on another forum about P228s in the inventory but I don't know much about that. Edited May 3, 2007 by BARsrule2
Jagdraben
The P228 is in the US military arsenal as the M11. It's generally carried by MiLEOs, I believe, rather than front line troops.
The Crunchy Bunny
So a glock would work? Cause I really want one for my next GBB......
Ragnar27
Glocks are nasty IMO. It doesnt say US SF to me
