Ochronix
firstly, what kind of 1911 is that, second how did you do that? correct me if i'm wrong, but that looks like a TM 1911 with a metal frame and slide that he brushed/sanded down, and it looks amazing and realistic so very good job sir. ardrummer292
Some of my worn kit, ironically all under a week old. Cyma AKS74U: TM Sig P226 (mostly dirt and steel wool to achieve this effect, nothing drastic): Essentials rig (Pantac LBT AK chestrig + double pistol mag pouch + comms, BHI CQC SERPA, Pantac dump):
Souske
Nice, you made a budget AK look good! Does your 226 have a metal body kit on? Or is it sporting the default TM plastic body?
ardrummer292
Thanks mate, I looked through your CM.028 pics and tried to get the same effect. The Sig is all stock TM, no fancy metal body kit on her yet.

Lerch
Essentials rig (Pantac LBT AK chestrig + double pistol mag pouch + comms, BHI CQC SERPA, Pantac dump): The look of hard work and sweat is on that rig!

kie
I wonder if my ugly mug would count as 'BATTLE-WORN' from all the BB strikes and missing teeth... k Edited April 1, 2008 by kie
ardrummer292
The look of hard work and sweat is on that rig! Modding the pouches with bungee straps (gutted from the dumper, which was then rigged with some steel wire) took the longest time, with the ghetto 1-point sling coming in a close second. sryanuk
ardrummer292, Where did you buy that ak rig from? Nice work on the ak! Thinking of getting one myself.
ardrummer292
I picked it up from www.airsoftsmith.com for about $50. Really quite nice, but I now know Pantac makes great repro gear.
sryanuk
Cheers, don't suppose you know if they ship to the uk do you?
Fellowz
correct me if i'm wrong, but that looks like a TM 1911 with a metal frame and slide that he brushed/sanded down, and it looks amazing and realistic so very good job sir. it is indeed a TM 1911 with a guarder metal frame and slide. all i done was sand off the black powdercoat and kept using brasso and white spirits to aid the process altho it did little. the little parts and the hard to reach places were done using a dremel and then once i was satisfyed with it slapped it back together. and im very pleased with the results. HuDeani
Here is my genuinely worn WE m1911 it got chipped and scratched to hell when it got put in a bag with a hacksaw and a few other metal items so i gave it a very quick paint and after a fair amount of use this is the result.
