luvs2shoot
Anyone got a VFC AK and have the original Mag that came with it and want to sell it to me? Â azngoonie313 has one FS right now in the FS thread!
dookieboy
Yeah but he didn't get one of the "supplied mags" :/
johnnyj
hi guys , need to ask a question putting my self an ak together and wanted to ask do all akm's use the 74 type body ? Â Â anyway thats it so far , KA body and front set some cyma parts and a caw wood set ( used but looks nice)
Jumprefusal
For anybody who is interested, the Land Arms stuff you can find on Ebaybanned is quite nice. Very, very solid as its cast iron and fairly easy to install. This started as the full length Dboys with the wire stock, but as you can see I replaced the stock and cut the barrel:
PlasticMag
Well, damn. Very nice. I was planning to do exactly that, but now I need to focus my energies elsewhere! Â *edit - after a few seconds of looking, I realized that it looks too long in the front, and I'm not sure why... Edited June 29, 2008 by PlasticMag
Revenge Seeker
hi guys , need to ask a question putting my self an ak together and wanted to ask do all akm's use the 74 type body ? Â Â Â anyway thats it so far , KA body and front set some cyma parts and a caw wood set ( used but looks nice) Â I recall someone saying an AKM type IV receiver is a little different than a AK74 receiver by how the stock attaches. ninja master of coffee
A quik enquirey (yes I've searched online and on the forums); I want to fit my CYMA CMO31 with a 74m style folding stock and reciever but I'm not sure what would fit, what would be of fairly good quality but not horribly expensive (it's a CYMA, I'm not fitting an inokatsu kit, that would just be dumb....) Â Cheers in advance! Â P.S. A non-scamming supplier would also be good, saw a site that did lots of AK kits but they got a bad write up on actually supplying the stuff... PlasticMag
Only CYMA and Inokatsu's Marui-specific line work. Sorry. You kinda shafted yourself on that one, as the CYMAs are non-standardized. *edit - for the AKM/74 market, any way. They retain the Marui construction method. ninja master of coffee
Ok, how are the CYMA solid side folding stocks? Also where to get and how much?
PlasticMag
Well, you can't buy the receiver and stock separately. If you already have a CM031 (solid non-folding stock) you'll need to buy a CYMA with a folding stock and sell the leftovers. You *could* fit a DBoys receiver, but it's not an easy task at all, and if you screw up you've borked yourself out of a gun.
ninja master of coffee
I'd already figured I'd need the receiver and stock but you're saying that you actually can't get the CYMA folding stock compatible receiver and stock as spare parts? I take it you need to mod the CYMA guts as well as the DBoys stuff to get it to fit? Also, feel free to PM me info rather than have me spam this thread!
Snigel
Â Â Seen before. Gonna get much more weathering when I get the time. Love it.

PlasticMag
Added a guide on how to shorten the AKSU bolt handle to my guide in progress. Edited June 29, 2008 by PlasticMag

my_plague_666
nice work PM, definitely going to try both the bolt mod and the rolled stock on my AKSU when i get round to it.
PlasticMag
Installed the bolt, and installed the blowback mech. Wicked good.
BaggyPants
*edit - after a few seconds of looking, I realized that it looks too long in the front, and I'm not sure why...  It's an optical illusion created because the AK pictured has no cleaning rod in it, making it look thinner/longer at that point
EmptyChambers
So guys. What is the general consensus on the PGC CNC hopup chamber? I'm bidding one one currently. Â I've heard some mixed reviews about them being a pain to fit and such, and not even being a huge improvement. Can anyone chime in here?
Magsz
Some guns have double feeding issues with the chamber and others work perfectly, its very hit or miss.
EmptyChambers
Well, I just bought it, so I guess I'll install it and document any issues and performance increases when it gets here. I happen to have high hopes for it, and even if it doesn't meet them, if nothing else, its pretty. Â Edited July 1, 2008 by EmptyChambers
my_plague_666
plasticmag: you've used the new VFC method for your blowback right? any chance you could put a guide up? and can you still quickly disengage the blowback like on the VFCs? oh and any idea how much it affects the battery life?
