Souske
Thanks for the suggestions guys. The grip I have on there's not 'wood', but Tan from my previous paintjob on the grips. I have 'wood' grips as well that I stuck on there. Why people may ask? Wilson Combat 1911s. Comparison of the wood vs tan. I personally don't like black grips very much since I 've seen a lot of OD paint schemes with black grips, so I'll probably keep it like this for a while. CapaciousZepher
It's definitely not a bad look you have there, the brown grips don't look bad, I just prefer black. Are you going to leave the slide black? Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
Souske
Thanks. I'll be keeping the slide black...unless I decide to do a Kimber Desert Warrior paint scheme. The only reason I'm not doing that is because I haven't found a durable finish in dark desert earth/tan that'll last. Krylon's camo Khaki's too bright. Krylon's Mimosa finish is still on the bright side as well.
CapaciousZepher
Yeah I was thinking of the Desert Warrior when I asked. The Desert Warrior inspired my WE 4.3, except mine is in all OD (tan would stick out a bit in all the green Washington shrubbery) Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
Lord Blackgoat
I, for one, really like it more with those "wood" grips, it gives it a real depth. Really inspiring...
BARsrule2
I really like the wood-looking grips on there as well. If it was just black, it would look almost... too new/matching/tacticalomgoffthegunstoreshelf. And ghost haven't you used that picture like 3 times on these boards in the past week? I mean if you're going to unreasonably cut someone down at least get a good picture...
kwiky
just finished re-painting my m733, its my "night fight" gun so i went for a predominatly black scheme with lighter tan to break it up abit, theres also some green and a few brown tones thrown in there aswell regards.............kwiky

Tommygunn
Snipe, The battered M4 paint job looks excellent, although I do prefer a more traditional setup. Edited July 7, 2007 by Tommygunn

Souske
lol, thanks for the comments. It's not terribly too front heavy as I have the huge grip pod to facilitate with the carrying. The optical setup works surprisingly well once I calibrated everything. For some more 'natural lighting' pictures:

Souske
Thanks kudrovagrant! Ragnar, I kept the parts that the real Kimber DW's had black also black on my 1911. I also still have the tan grips (khaki), but it still doesn't have enough contrast.
