(V)atrix
It's not a Thompson... It's a (bad) replica of the American 180, .22LR submachine gun that was manufactured in the '70s and '80s.
Noart
Isn't that a real weapon during WWII? I lol'd
ED-SKaR
It's not a Thompson... It's a (bad) replica of the American 180, .22LR submachine gun that was manufactured in the '70s and '80s. Bang on! Its called the 180 because the origonal magazine holds 180 rounds. later versons held 225 and 360 rounds
renegadecow
Plus with the abundance of screws everywhere, I take it that its an LPEG.
GuzziHero
It comes with .12g BBs and a gravity fed hopper. Not looking hopeful!
ST19AG_WGreymon
I wasn't really hoping it was skirmishable. I was just wondering what the hell it was. XD
Habakure
Am I only the only one thinking this would look great in a zombie movie?
Mat
Am I only the only one thinking this would look great in a zombie movie? Yes.
Habakure
DAmn it, looks like I'd be the first for the zombie love bite of death. I do oddly like the look of it thought, could pretend its the old brit machine gun used on bi-planes and the like.
rhino
Bang on! Its called the 180 because the origonal magazine holds 180 rounds. later versons held 225 and 360 rounds I'm sure i saw one of those in an episode of The Professionals a few weeks back. Thought someone had just stuck a slide projector on top of the rifle. Ah well...
T3CH
Isnt' that thing capable of shredding kevlar vests due to the huge rof? I remember it being Australian made for some reason tho, can vaguely remember a tv program covering it yonks ago.
cazboab
I'm sure i saw one of those in an episode of The Professionals a few weeks back. Thought someone had just stuck a slide projector on top of the rifle. Ah well... In the professionals that's exactly what it was, a slide cartridge taped on an M16/ar-18, was supposed to make an "A-180" sniper rifle with a laser dohicky.
Ferrarilove1
farfromahero is thinking of the DP-28, and that's not completely an American-180, it's more of a poor representation but still recognizable.
reaper16
I swear it looks like the drum blocks the rear sight.
mr eagle
I swear it looks like the drum blocks the rear sight. Thats why they give you 180+ bullets
DanHS
I remember reading that they were primarily used for riot suppression in prisons and such, just dump a ton of rounds into a crowd I guess, most will live and the riot should be pretty difficult to continue with. As an LPEG with a metal gearbox, looks like it might be good for a zombie game if actually functions and the zombies don't might getting lit up with .12s. Too bad it costs $80 though, should be $40 if it's only going to shoot .12s.
BigAl
Not the LAEG Version.
Royal-Air-Force
Isnt' that thing capable of shredding kevlar vests due to the huge rof? Well considering its an $80 LPEG which fires .12g BB's, I don't think so.
Danke
Zombies eh? Dual mount http://www.american180.com/am180/history/dualmt.html Make sure you get the Laser Lok sight, about the size of a slide cartridge, strapped on the top.
