KWP
entrygear.com Gotta look under BAE Eclipse. They bought SDS out. Mine shipped from where SDS used to be located in PA. Does yours have the NSN number? Wonder if the Marines get them issued from both SDS and BAE. Looking at entrygear's pics it looks very similar in design to SDS', but there's a slight difference in the velcro and stitching.
Squeezee
Do you guys think it is worth it to try and fix up a busted ILBE? Has some broken zippers and buckles. Thanks.
ThaFlash
KWP: BAE owns SDS and it looks like they're designing new, pretty good tac gear under the ECLiPSE line, or whatever gimmicky way they want to spell it.
shadownova
Do you guys think it is worth it to try and fix up a busted ILBE? Has some broken zippers and buckles. Thanks. Depends on what is broken. Is this the main pack or the patrol pack? The buckles are easy enough to replace, if you have the kit. But the zippers may be a different story, but worth if it if you can do it. The ILBE is a pretty expensive pack.
AT14
Do you guys think it is worth it to try and fix up a busted ILBE? Has some broken zippers and buckles. Thanks. Is that the $30 ones on eBay at the moment? If so, is that the problems, broken zippers and buckels?
masakarijoe
no... it sells for hundreds. squeexme: yeah, but whats broken? i say fix it. the eclipse pouch is not the same one as the USMC issue SDS dumper. FYI. -Joe
Squeezee
The seller says it is things like the zippers are broken and off the track, and some buckles and straps might be missing or broken. They are selling quick so I gotta decide soon. Shadow, it is the patrol pack. I could use the main one as an FOB I am so small, lol.
ThaFlash
This is the Arc'Teryx designed one that is manufactured by Propper? I've heard repairing zippers can be expensive because it may require quite a bit of disassembly, it can be labor intensive.
Agent Hunk
the eclipse pouch is not the same one as the USMC issue SDS dumper. FYI. -Joe Could you share the differences? I can't see why it'd be all that different considering Eclipse bought out SDS in 2007.

Sounds fixable, it is a good all-around use pack (except for school). If you get it, take it to someone who knows how to fix zippers. Buckles are easy enough to fix.
KWP
Could you share the differences? I can't see why it'd be all that different considering Eclipse bought out SDS in 2007. I dunno what other differences masakarijoe noticed, but so far I could only see a very slight difference (one of the velcros and how it's stitched onto the pouch), so I assume it's 99.9% the same, but the usual question remains: how is the coyote brown? Also, does it have the NSN number just to know if they officially supply this item to the USMC under the brand BAE. Thx
Squeezee
I am hoping the zippers will only be off the track, that might be better than having to swap them out.

Yeah it probably is just the pouch with no medical supplies in it. What is your african load-out going to be? I am curious about this.
masakarijoe
i would like to request a few more pictures of a retractable stock on an M16A4 please... im considering one for my real AR15A4 MWS. what were the downsides? i mean, i know that muzzle rise will be slightly greater, of course, but are there any detrimental effects otherwise? honestly, thats what we need... it would make shouldering and close quarters battle much easier. but i still support the 20" barrel, especially because we Marines are meant to be long range shooters. i would also probably get one for my airsoft M16A4, however i really cannot because of battery constraints, and i like my 9.6V 3800 mah large batteries that i can use now. i dont want to use a stock pouch really. are these stock modifications made on the existing M16A4 lower, or do armorers just swap the lower for one from an M4A1? i would assume that they just swap stocks, but i cant say that i know that for sure. -Joe
McArthur
M249 Pouch Is this pouch able to carry one of the large green box drums from an M249? Or is this pouch designed for the smaller cloth "mags"? Anybody got any good pics of Marines with an M249?
KWP
When browsing the internet for why it's called IFAK I found this very interesting video: (Funny moment at around 5:59min) (GRAPHIC WARNING) {...} i would also probably get one for my airsoft M16A4, however i really cannot because of battery constraints, and i like my 9.6V 3800 mah large batteries that i can use now. i dont want to use a stock pouch really. {...} -Joe I'd say go LiPo. {...} Anybody got any good pics of Marines with an M249?
