Rogue845
Taken me ages to put this together. But then I am easily distracted... Scout light on the other side of the rail, it's kinda hidden by everything else. Edited September 14, 2010 by Rogue845
TheFull9
Weighs a bit eh? Who's the QD GL mount made by?
Rogue845
It's lighter than what you'd expect. Most of the front end is aluminium I think, and with the battery in the stock it balances pretty well considering. The GL is the Dboys 3 in 1.
tom lawson
What's 3 in 1 about a grenade launcher?
Twister026
The dboys 3 in 1 grenade launcher has three different mounts, which is what makes it 3 in one. IIRC, one barrel mount for TM, one for RIS, and another type of barrel mount for other barrels that aren't tm spec I think O: .

tom lawson
Ah right, my first thought was that it was a grenade launcher but could double up to hold a battery (ie, came with a hidden compartment or something)

kojak
I like all but the comp trigger, looks kinda odd on fighting gun... It's not even a very good trigger; I can replace it now that RA-tech makes a standard M4 trigger out of steel. The BAD lever and stubby grip are also "wrong" but I'm keeping them. BrooklynBorn
Who cares, it's so hot. Can't say I don't miss your CASV setup however Edit- woot! 100th post! Edited September 16, 2010 by BrooklynBorn
RacingManiac
Well I am not one for authentic replica, so BAD and vert grip is not standing out to me...comp trigger though just looks a bit more weird...lol
aznriptide859
Does that Specter cowitness with your irons?
kojak
Who cares, it's so hot. Can't say I don't miss your CASV setup however Thanks! This is indeed the same gun. Does that Specter cowitness with your irons? It would be something like a lower 1/3 cowitness if it was a working 1-4x SpecterDR; mine is 4x only so I can't say for sure. tom lawson
That looks awesome! Why the hand stop if you have a VFG though? Is that a VFC? Edited September 17, 2010 by tom lawson
kojak
kojak, that gun ain't sexy....it's dirrrty. Thanks! I like the way the painted upper and A2 grip turned out--just gave them a light coat of khaki Krylon then immediately rubbed most of it off with a damp rag. I couldn't bring myself to paint the brand new anodized lower though. I am sure even if it does it probably not usable...most magnified optic, even 1x-something has set eye-relief at 1x.... True, but I'm thinking The SpecterDR might not suffer from that issue; instead of variable power optics it has an internal lens that pivots out of the way in 1x mode. That looks awesome! Why the hand stop if you have a VFG though? It's set up for a thumb break grip, and very nicely I must say. Kinda familiar too.

Which is still an improvement I guess....with Accupoint at least the eye-relief changes...
