Bought a big black kit bag for £12 and found a set of ess ice with extra spare lenses and an sog power lock in it.

I once bought a desert dpm shirt which had a flattened gold ring in the pocket. Sold for scrap and paid for the shirt, the postage and a couple of beers.

I've just run 5k. I never run.

I feel surprisingly good.

Is that the place where they had Weebl and Bob?

That was the first flash animation I ever saw.

It feels like it was in the 90s.

Some nonsense about pies.  It was amusing but I seem to have forgotten all about it.

Anyway I am in Kenya teaching safe plant operation to the locals.

I am in a hotel that is OK at best and we are at 2000m so I am slightly out of breath.

It's not too hot but I have a blistering headache from the twice-failed root canal I currently have and everything is covered in dust.

It's pretty cool though.

Root canal + higher altitude = extra pain?

It's a funny place. Taxis were pickup trucks with 'licensed to carry x passengers' on the doors, and usually had about 15 people hanging off them.

Like you say, dust everywhere too, but I bloody loved it there. I grew up reading loads about the place. Mostly wildlife books and stories, and felt very at home there.

Can't explain it.
