Noveske
Prototyping, but looks like Dytac's cloning again. This time, the hard to come by 416 rail:
aznriptide859
Only a matter of time before they clone the Mk4. Down goes my elitism lol.
seagullman
hope they clone it in sand
CplHicks
I'm hoping this will fit the VFC AEG
BigAl
Nice, the 416 is too heavy n old fashioned know!
kagami
MK1 is/was the best geissele rail by looks imo. this is great news, I was thinking of a 416 and wanted to do something to make it unique. I'd settle for one of these, the real rail IS really freaking hard to find.
Eizen
Nice, the 416 is too heavy n old fashioned know! Geissele rail isn't that much lighter.
BigAl
Should be as it has lost 75% of the rail.
kagami
The geissele is not much lighter however the MK1 is their bombproof design. It is also longer dimensionally, much so that you need to cut off the sling loops on the gas block to fit the rail. That alone adds weight. It's still lighter than a stock 416 rail at that. WTF?Shane
This is a beautiful rail. Hope Dytac don't mess it up.
Boom3r
Nice, I want it yesterday.
gerryg
I'm genuinely excited about this, bought a hurricane 416 receiver a year ago and could not get a proper rail anywhere to fit it, ended up with (a rather nice looking) 7 inch dd rail instead but can't wait for this! intinerious
I'm hoping this will fit the VFC AEG It does; for the new HK416s. I've asked them about it already; and they might make the standard AR SMR as well.
CplHicks
Sweet. I'm happy now.
IronWolf
Hmm, do the VFC GBBR & AEG 416's share the same rail, or are do they have different specs?
kagami
the specs should be the same.
BigAl
Would look even better if they had the front sight the right way round.
TheFull9
I'm guessing the VFC and TM 416s aren't compatible in the areas of rail attachment, anyone know?
CplHicks
Slight clarification I have a VFC Umarex 416 with cal 6mm on the side. I have no clue as if its an older version or newer one. I believe that the thread is slightly wider on the TM. I know an RS 416 SMR will fit. A member on Devt6 has one and if I recall the threads needed filling to make the rail fit

Does yours come with the HK grip? If so that's the new one. The old VC 416 only has the HK LE Stock for HK-specific furniture; the pistol grip was a TD one IIRC. Apparently there's a difference between the old and new VFC rails given that WGC told me you can't run the new rails on the old VFC 416 (specifically for the M27 IAR rail set; which should be the same as the new 416's rail except being longer). CplHicks
I don't know. It had a MOE grip on it when I bought it. It does have the extension to make the barrel 14.5". I've got a feeling that this wont fit mine

The difference is in the diameter of the Barrel nut. On the old VFC HK416 the barrel nut is approximately 2mm in diameter larger that the newer version. However, the RS Geissele HK416 rail has its own Barrel nut so you may get away with it if they reproduce the barrel nut as well.
olaman
The real steel Geissele won't fit neither VFC, nor Tokyo Marui without extensive modification. I got the rail onto my TM, but it took hours of filing and sanding to do so. There's pics over at www.facebook.com/hestehovkompaniet
intinerious
Hey boom3r thanks for the info The DYTAC one should come with the locking nut given the smr uses the hk417 style of rail attachment rather than the 416. If that's the case then the only real issue should be the dimension of the tab on the rear of the rail that locks into the upper.
charlie 6
Thanks for the heads up. Definitely going to save up for this!
