M_P
Hmmm... About the brass deflector. It also doubles as the locking notch for the folding stock, yeah? So without it, how does the stock hold in place when folded ? It does on the scar- on the masada/acr i think the stock when folded is just held by a spring.
renegadecow
The stock hinge has a notch it locks into when the stock is folded, much like on Mini Uzi stocks.
Habakure
It's on the arnies news page now and they have a normal ar15 mag with the stock folded (it's not being called the acr/Masada either).
NonEx
It was never called the ACR nor MASADA by WE so that is no suprise. However I completeley missed the change of magazine in those pics. It does say it's from WE Europe though. Maybe there is an Asian version and an EMEA / US version (no "PMAGs")?
Number5
On the subject of the MP5, correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall reign that the patent has lapsed on that? The RS gun design is fairly old now, so they shouldn't have any problems if that is the case, though I may be off the mark on that one.
NonEx
I think someone other than HK owns it now and whoever has it doesn't care much for it (or something like that). However Umarex seems to be all over the MP5s so maybe they put a stop to it. I dunno, hope not.
Inq Eisenhorn
If you check out the Remington website they have an awesome promo of the ACR using standard 5.56 mags, personally I think it looks better without the p-mag......
Mazuran
On the subject of the MP5, correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall reign that the patent has lapsed on that? The RS gun design is fairly old now, so they shouldn't have any problems if that is the case, though I may be off the mark on that one. I seem to remember it being related to the silhouette of the gun, rather than any trademarks or patents - Does the ACR silhouette come under a similar loophole?
NonEx
My OCD is forcing me to correct myself regarding the EMEA and Asia edition... Asia is included in EMEA and so what I meant was a Euro/US version and an Asian version. I have brought shame to my family
Habakure
I think this could be the rifle to paint grey. Been thinking the scar would suit being painted grey, but this may just tip the scales.
coolurjets
Laughing hard, another WE gas product to dissapoint, rejoice? However, a WE Katana ACR AEG... that could be something to look at if it comes out in the future.
WTF?Shane
I'm really excited to try out this gun. Really looking forward to a release.
Isamu
However, a WE Katana ACR AEG... that could be something to look at if it comes out in the future. A SCAR H or L was rumored to be released after the M4...but if they release a katana ACR, I will be all over it
Habakure
Still waiting on the scar h gbb. Think they mentioned it Christmas 2011 (in a video).
WTF?Shane
Anyone besides CK preorder it? CWI Airsoft says in stock on Saturday. Waiting for them to email me back about shipping charges.

NonEx
I have pre-pre-ordered it from local retailer, but I think it will take at least a couple of weeks extra before they get it. Sounds awesome if they come out on saturday. That is usually the day WE release so makes sense. Love the fast pace release pipe !
WTF?Shane
LOL. My bad. I meant to say NonEx, not CK. On another note, the only retailer that has the PMAG available for preorder is Evike Airsoft in the US. I went ahead and ordered the GI mags instead because they were in stock. jareyes
With regards to the comment a few pages back about this rifle not taking the "usual" development/presentation route that WE takes whenever they release a new gun, it's been around their offices for a while I think. There's a video where they have the externals of the ACR on a rack, along with a ton of M4s, some G36s I think and I think maybe an M14. Been a while since I last saw that video but that's when the speculation that WE was gonna make a GBBR ACR started. Glad to see something came from it! The PTS kit was definitely not an option..... LordElpus
The "fast" releases tend not to follow the typical news release path WE use. Remember the G39? Nothing at all then BAM! "Oh look! what's this here?" in a typical James video.
Bucko
Laughing hard, another WE gas product to dissapoint, rejoice? However, a WE Katana ACR AEG... that could be something to look at if it comes out in the future. To what degree have you used WE's newer generation rifles? They're far from disappointing. The first gen GBBRs circa 2008 were pretty weak, but their new ones go toe to toe with every manufacturer out there in their price range. I, for one, am already making room in my armory for this. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I can't wait to get my hands on it! I think he's basing his observations from the plethora of negative reviews for WE's pistols and AEGs, including the relatively new WE Katana M4 series. Granted this unlicensed Remington ACR is a GBBR platform, and perhaps they got the internals right ... time (and consumer guinea pigs) will tell.
MRF
...and meanwhile somewhere in Minnesota. But, seriously. After rethinking I decided I'll wait for Katana version of this one.
