hitmanNo2
They pale in comparison to the RDS version in terms of sexiness.
bankz5152
To start with I will have Dr RD as thats what I have left over. What does look good is the Bushnell Holographics, slimmer profile than the EOTech, holds up to recoil and available for £80 - £150. on my phone, my spelling will suck
Rob15
I would have thought WE would do a RDS variant. They already re-brand a load of optics so it wouldn't be stretch for a RDS. The usual suspects will do the stickers in no time I would think. WE Europe released a load of optics, not WE themselves and as you say, they are rebrands, as far as I'm aware no one makes an 'airsoft' P90 RDS so it's not as simple as what WE Europe have done. Habakure
I think an old member on here called 'greg' put a real scope on a tm P90. But we're talking 5-6 years ago. I'm excited, buy my recently acquired tm P90 is not. . .
hitmanNo2
Yeah, definitely recall something like that. Admittedly I don't know how it works regarding re branding but you've got to have some sort of relationship with the OEM. Even if it's just WE Europe, they'd have contacts at the OEM to make it somewhat easier to suggest them to do a P90 RDS.
tquilha
My ACM Micro T1 held up pretty well on my G39C. I think I might get another one for the P90.
rusTORK
I'm excited, buy my recently acquired tm P90 is not. . . It will help us to get Ring Sight marking on left side of the sight. Got scaner? =)
Korppi
This one looks more promising than other GIM guns concerning conversion for external power bypassing the magazine. Though it would be nice if companies would readily offer such conversion kit etc. There is a nice market carved for such, not that niche anymore.
renegadecow
Hold on to your wallets for just a minute. We don't even know if the receiver is completely different from an AEG. For one thing the takedown botton looks exactly like it's lifted from an AEG so maybe a conversion would be possible.
bankz5152
Well that could be excellent news as I have an old school GB-Tech RDS upper on my TM P90 on my phone, my spelling will suck
Habakure
Oooooohhhhh, that's got my hopes up. Am pretty sure I won't be the only one who will buy the gbb version, even if they already own the AEG version (tm of course because, well, it's Tokyo marui and it's filled with fairy dust). Reppyboyo
Looks like I might have to come out of retirement for this.
DarkLite
The real steel ring sight on the P90 is apparently a steaming pile to actually use though. Every real steel P90 I've seen being used in a LE/Mil capacity has had a rail adaptor mounted and either an Aimpoint or an Eotech on top.
hitmanNo2
Yeah. I've certainly never seen the US use the RDS version, only a handful of other countries use the RDS one from what I've seen and they probably old photos.
rusTORK
Every real steel P90 I've seen being used in a LE/Mil capacity has had a rail adaptor mounted and either an Aimpoint or an Eotech on top. Maybe because RDS version was developed first and TR version later? Since LE\MIL already have got old version it's more reasonablee to get just an adapter instead new base. Horsem4n
It's possible most military/Leo users of the p90 just wanted to use their own RDS that their departments already have for familiarity and maybe battery compatibility. Or for various other reasons. As for me, I like the look of eotechs on trirail p90s, luckily, only because my mask choice doesn't permit the best cheak weld and a high sight picture like that would be perfect for me. My only gripe with the p90 though is the grip angle. Anybody know what I can do to comfortably adjust the grip angle for the LoP on the P90?
renegadecow
Chop it and make it AR compatible.
3vi1-D4n
That would solve my RSI issue with the P90.
renegadecow
And a lot of the flak with the real steel "rds" version comes from it being in fact not a red dot. It's a tritium enhanced 1x light collimating optic; virtually a true scope and not a reflex/red dot sight like on airsoft replicas. Now, that in itself isn't an issue but because it has such a small ocular diameter, it's not as forgiving as one would expect from a red dot of the same size. A little shift of your head left or right and all you see is black.
Katotaka
A friend of mine has one of those sights on his TM AEG, it's basically THIS THING. Instead of a scope it's more like looking through a straw for bubble tea, with 2 sets of reticle ( each has its own light-collecting window, and one has tritium light source ) floating in the middle. bankz5152
I personally find the P90 the most comfortable weapons platform available. Light and so manourvable it may as well be an extension of your own body. Sights while high i find perfect as your never straining your neck to get it in the right place! on my phone, my spelling will suck
Skarclaw
The Tri rail / sight debate is a bit like the G36 scope set up... it looks cool and is the "classic" look but after a few goes using it you see why the tri rail was invented!
bankz5152
I do agree. I removed the RD ok my AEG and fitted a rail adapter. Classic looks but my own optics! on my phone, my spelling will suck
3vi1-D4n
But the G36 scope is worse than the P90 sight. There is just no comparison. The P90 sight at least is in line with the cheek weld while the Tri-rail + standard optics tend to sit a little too high if you don't use a mask.
Skarclaw
But the G36 scope is worse than the P90 sight. There is just no comparison. Yes there is I just made it bro Both are *suitcase*.
