CaptCalvin
Well this doesn't really change anything for me as I was always under the impression that when slingshotting the 1911 it was the slide that pushes the slide stop down and not the detente anyway.
renegadecow
Which brings us back to your original complaint. WE slides don't travel back far enough for that to happen, at least not out of the box.
CaptCalvin
I mean, if the slide travels rearwards just a teeny tiny bit more than the slide stop will engage and if the slide stop notch on the slide is the correct dimension it'll easily work. I guess my complaint is, why do all these airsoft 1911 have elongated slide stop notches?
renegadecow
Because pot metal don't like small cross sectional density.
castigador
Looks like WE has copied the way Nova makes their 1911 frames.
fnc
Still doesn't come powerstroke-able. How hard could it be? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RooZ-aXViA0 At the demo video 5"00 , you can see a demonstration POWERSTROKE....
CaptCalvin
Wow... I guess I'm sold, but actually on the more interesting observation that merely inserting a magazine, cocking the hammer and pulling the trigger to release it doesn't dry cycle and chamber a bb. The slide has to be worked first to start firing. Very interesting.
NightFury
Looks like WE is trying to fix their rep. Now that's how companies should work. Learn from their mistakes and improve as needed, though it did take them a while. I'm rather disappointed WE doesn't tell us what they plan on doing anymore though. Now it's just sort of random, like "Surprise! We did something" rather than us anticipating their moves now. And this morning, WE shows their triple barrel pistol. Hopefully they give us something that has one barrel again that's new.
LordElpus
I do miss the WETTI "oh what is this on my desk" type vids. The "leaked" vids from the R&D dept seem to becoming a thing of the past as well.
renegadecow
Not sure what you're on about. Yes, they've been making some seemingly spontaneous products, but the latest "serious" stuff that are to be released have been documented for quite some time now particularly their M712 and M1A1. icolater
I'm personally excited about this, the new (marui clone) beretta's from WE are very very nice. I'm sure modern variants will be available at some stage, also co2 would be amazing.
NightFury
Not sure what you're on about. Yes, they've been making some seemingly spontaneous products, but the latest "serious" stuff that are to be released have been documented for quite some time now particularly their M712 and M1A1. I meant to say how they used to say what's coming and when we could expect release. They do mention the larger projects but it pales in comparison of the double barrel series these last couple months. I wished they'd mention their Star Wars blaster again though. And did anyone notice WE mention a 200 rd drum mag for their triple barrel?
Horsem4n
I think the tripple barreled pistol is a joke.
NightFury
Maybe, but they showcased their pistol linking contraption putting three m712s together on their video. Granted it's an April 1st post, but it's still something we haven't seen from WE. I get what you're saying through. It's rather pointless.
renegadecow
It's only a joke until enough people want to buy it.
harborne blue
I'll believe that WE isn't a joke when (a) the blued finish P38 comes back into stock and ( the GBB tommy appears.
tquilha
There is a definite need for the blued P38 and the tommy (with or without the drum mag). Also some more info on the Mauser and Han's blaster would be very welcome.
Batmause
The new 1911 also will be realible as the older version? I saw to much cracking - slide, barrel bushing, spring guide pluge, mag lip, nozzle. You sad WE? No thanks, I won't buy a crappy-gun to deck my shelf, the previous I can used one time.... Katotaka
Looks like WE has copied the way Nova makes their 1911 frames. Yeah, I can hear the firing group "module" and integrated slide rails screaming "NOOOOOOVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA---------!!!!!"
paranoiddroid
I wonder how much will be able to be retrofitted to the old ines
icolater
Hopefully 0%
blobface
A new series of WE 1911 with larger cylinder diameter.... potentially means Ghost Island, Papago, Ra-tech steel kit... I welcome this.
Brigg
Also I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the blued p38s. Those were a limited time thing as they had stated. You're better off with solid black anyway. The "blued" parts have a really nasty swirly colored finish that wears pretty easily (and it's copper color underneath). But the painted black ones actually have decent paint this time.
Wingman
Second that regarding the P38, the all black finish is pretty nice (I have 2 of them) and even the satin finish on my silver model is pretty nice if not realistic. Any idea when these new WE 1911's are going to be available?
icolater
Should be out soon with a 1991 a1 model in silver and black and my bet would be that they include that display box with lights. Hopefully ghost island or who ever make some traded versions
