scorch
Yeah. *fruitcage* this skinny fit trend.
shmook
Stop shopping in trendy shops. My last jeans were from next and fit a treat!
amateurstuntman
I have these: Fleece lined, plenty of room, comfy. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mountain-Warehouse-Boulder-Fleece-Regular/dp/B015HC0C1W/
scorch
I don't shop in trendy shops. Also, I never shop in Next. I have had the absolute worst shopping experience of my life in a Next and will never shop there again.
Tinkerton
STORY TIME, STORY TIME, STORY TIME!
scorch
Went to buy a suit for my friends wedding and all the suits were labeled "skinny fit". I asked the chap in there if he had any dark coloured suits that weren't skinny fit, he looked me up and down and said in the absolute worst tone possible "nothing that would fit you" Needless to say I handed him the shoes I was gonna buy and told him I wouldn't be requiring those from him. Bare in mind I'm not a fat guy, (not that it would be acceptable to talk to a fat guy that way) nor am I some hulking gym addict. Just a regular guy with perhaps a little bit of beer related padding in the middle. A regular cut suit would have fit fine (and in fact did when I got one elsewhere). Gunnman
That's terrible. I wouldn't wear skinny fit, even if I was skinny. Hipster wear skinny fit, and not even hipsters like hipsters.
DarkLite
I WAS HATING ON HIPSTERS BEFORE IT WAS MAINSTREAM
Tinkerton
But that makes you a hipster.... you did it before it was cool.
Habakure
I do hate trousers that have a hip cut. They were once called 'hipsters' but now that is used to describe a person which is *insert what ever you think a hipster is*.
sandstorm
If you're looking for decent legroom in jeans, I can recommend Varusteleka's Särmä jeans. Pretty durable, fit turkey drumstick shaped legs, and come in blue or black, neither of which is artifically aged. Shipping might be a bit steep, but they'd most likely be worth it. Tinkerton
varusteleka's shipping is actually really reasonable, to the UK at least. I've been hankering after a pair of their jeans for a while now, but sadly they're a bit pricey for me at the moment.
shmook
STORY! Stunt, those look ace. And rather hot for the pub. Also, STORY. Gah, stupid phone missed about 1 million posts... And edit 2, varlutseka (spell? .) sell awesome kit. And cool blades.
sandstorm
Wrong thread for this, but since this is "Ow my eyes" but if any of you pops over with Nirwehian or Ryanair to come shop at Varusteleka in person, I can buy you a round at their pub or some otget pub in Helsinki assuming I don't have evening classes at college... hitmanNo2
Oooo, Varusteleka looks right up my street. Never heard of them before. In short, these are what jeans are supposed to be: durable, comfortable, clean trousers. These fit even if you're not a slim-legged hipster who hangs his trousers halfway down, and there definitely is no stone washing or ready made holes! That's what I'm after. Perfect. And they do raw too. Amazing.
amateurstuntman
Varusteleka are bloody brilliant. I got a coat from them and a load of pouches and other stuff and it was all brilliant. Make sure that whatever you order you tack on a couple of cans of Scho-ka-kola, that stuff if brilliant. Also, how did the hipster burn his mouth? Drank his coffee before it was cool. sandstorm
Gah. I hate phone keyboards, and even more to read my posts after edit window has closed. But yea, Varusteleka's jeans rock.
Skarclaw
Varusteleka has loads of cool stuff (sauna!) but just get some levi 514's
amateurstuntman
Also, since we are on the Varusteleka love train. Forgotten Weapons, In Range, Ian McCollum and Karl Kasarda are pretty cool too. I enjoy a lot of their content.
Mike_West
I'm stuck at work for the next half hour and a bit, and my watch battery died. I want to go home and just go to sleep.
Tinkerton
Accidentally ordered 18 gearboxes at work. Yes, eighteen. Yes, complete assembled gearboxes. No, proper ones for cars. Yes, they are expensive. Whoops.
Hedganian
Can you not cancel the order? Or return them?

scorch
I bet the restocking charge on that will be quite hefty if you can't cancel beforehand.
hitmanNo2
You would think a supplier would have some kind of verification for orders like that. I mean, the chances of someone needing 18 (I assume identical?) gearboxes. Should be flagged and then a call to the customer to check. Or does that make too much sense?
