johnnyj
just looking on redwolfs site and seen news of this new rifle "We've received some severely saucy news from Inokatsu revealing their next sizzling-hot product - a gas-powered M4, with blowback. Following on from the popular Western Arms M4A1 with blowback, this blowback M4 will provide an additional option for all those who want a gas-powered (airsoft) assault rifle. From what we can see in the photos, it appears that it will come standard fitted with a metal body and if it is anything like their previous products, it will be solid as a rock. We've also been told that it will be possible to use CO2 also, which would be very interesting to see. Stay tuned for more updates" http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...tail?newsID=829 looks very intresting !
xerxes
Wonder if they'll get markings, materials and dimensions right this time? Or if it'll corrode hideously after only a few months of ownership?
Chrissyg
Or cost a million billion pounds..
Inq Eisenhorn
It may be wise to let the rifle be released before we write it off based on cost and robustness. If corrosion is a major worry, then buy the plastic bodied WA.
scooberoo
from a company that makes expensive stuff...this gonna suck on the wallet for sure
poison123
from a company that makes expensive stuff...this gonna suck on the wallet for sure Well from the pictures...as far as I can tell....it looks like WA M4 guts to me.
masakarijoe
wow, this may be a nice base for a USMC M4A1 MWS... im interested. it better be skirmishable... -Joe
terrorist killer
YAY! I hope they put the gas in the stock though so you can use hicaps with it(or drum mags, wow that would be ridiculous with CO2, a lighter bolt(same strength though) and a 5000rd box mag)
sadigh
Well from the pictures...as far as I can tell....it looks like WA M4 guts to me. I was thinking the same thing. I bet they release this as an upgrade kit as well, for those who own the WA.

Hvy gear
Yup, looks like it. Also looks like it uses the same WA mag. Its Inokatsu, so better save up guys
Inq Eisenhorn
Is this REALLY written by the man who repeatedly predicted the WA would be a skipload of fail long before any were released? Cheers! #sigh#....I never predicted anything about the WA, my "negative" comments....if thats how you want to view them, were made after Wupjack had written his review and after the actual owners (thats right, people had bought the rifle, and used the rifle) had identified the heavily documented faults. Those same owners are still discussing those faults on the WA review thread. So please, get your facts right. All I'm saying in this instance, is we should get some facts (FACTS) behind us on this rifle before we condemn it to being a failure.
snowman
Touchy To be fair, the 'criticisms' of Inokatsu seem to be hopes that they won't repeat reported failures from previous products. Presumably (as they also make a kit for a WA), this is just going to be a WA fitted with an Inokatsu shell from new... Be interesting to see if they actually offer any internal upgrades to cope with CO2! Cheers.
TheKurodaVagrant
Aw, I was hoping it would be a gas-reservoir-in-the-stock-tube design that fed from AEG magazines.
Sniperkiller76
Like the idea of blowback airsoft guns but the price of mags makes it more of a "gimmick" gun rather than a skirmisher to me. I don't know of very many poeple who could outfit a full compliment of 12 mags at 100 bucks a pop.
Lewis_Hodgson
I think it is evident that quite a few gas blowback rifles will start hitting the market soon. What will this, the WA and the rumoured celcius clone; it seems to be a semi-successful new system. Which IMO, should mature over the next coming years with hopefully some amazing things being produced without any kinks. Let's just wait and see...
Revenge Seeker
Airsoft... its heading in the right direction... *whispers* hurry up China....*whispers*
Angry
That kind of comment really winds me up. Here we've got companies innovating and people are already wanting clones And if the WA version isn't totally reliable yet, what kind of awful mess do you think the chinese would make of it? AirRage
Im glad i held out not getting the Western Arms version, that being junk and all. More and more companies producing these gas rifles should be a winner. Can we say GAS VFC HK 416/417 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wupjak
that being junk and all. Mmmmmmmmmmmmno. Better to remain silent and let others think you a fool and all that.
birchm
That kind of comment really winds me up. Here we've got companies innovating and people are already wanting clones Agreed. I am fed up with seeing that comment whenever some new and interesting replica hits the news section. Everyone wants what looks like high end stuff, just not willing to pay for it. Im glad i held out not getting the Western Arms version, that being junk and all. More and more companies producing these gas rifles should be a winner. Can we say GAS VFC HK 416/417 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There already is a Gas VFC 416, made by escort.

Once your platform costs more than 2 grand it simply doesnt matter. You can either afford it or you cant.

You can either afford it or you cant. And if you're sniperkiller76/Dave, you have 3, just in case 2 break. He's my teammate, so I get to break balls a bit. The pile o' money required to load up on mags is focused on the magazines as opposed to the blaster, but it's comparable as you say, Magsz.
Inq Eisenhorn
Surely theres the issue of weight as well....in that I mean, if you need to carry more than 200 bbs in a game, you're lugging round more than four of these mags? Would that be an issue, or are they relatively light?
Sale
The mags have a nice heft to them. Nothing like the featherweight AEG magazines.
