Maple-Leaf
Would look better with an M4 type magazine and an FNC style folding stock.
masakarijoe
but thats not how the real one is... -Joe
SniperSidd
is it AEG, Gas or spring? when is it released?
elrey
I'm guessing it's a springer, hence the lack of battery space.
Crimson
Why would a springer have a selector switch ?
elrey
I don't know, purely cosmetic perhaps? Does Toystar make anything besides springers?
pandemonium808
Or the gearbox could set up like an aep and it uses those tiny batteries.
fal
It's made in Korea by company called Toystar. Export branded as KTW. Real firearm is made by Daewoo Industrial. Developed for ROK Special Ops and CT units. It's not MPEG or AEP. It's a full AEG shooting same as stock TM AEGs.(or maybe slightly higher). Uses Version 2 gearbox. Hopup seems M4/M16 type.(Marui compatible) Shoots semi and auto. The real deal shoots semiauto or burst. Battery(mini size, 8.4V 1100Mah) goes inside integrated suppressor.(like MP5SD series.) 9mm magazine is original. Not Uzi mag. It's a proper K7 magazine. Included mag holds 80 BBs. The adaptor can be removed and one can use any M4 AEG mags. It has been released around 8th July in ROK. Selling around 300USD. (but then everything related to airsoft is extremely overpriced over there. (I.E SD Kimber slide for hicapa costs around 100USD from HK online shop. Over there it costs around 185USD. Lots of tax.) screamin_weasel
that looks pretty funky. whats it made of?
FireKnife
Now if this and a K2 assault rifle were available it would be even better. 'FireKnife'
Mig1
I thought airsoft velocities were extremely limited in the ROK?
BigAl
Now if this and a K2 assault rifle were available it would be even better. 'FireKnife' They make one of them already.
Lewis_Hodgson
Its like the love-child of an m4 and a Mp5SD... and I think I like it
Spiderpig
Umm... No.
Xeno-Morpheus
I love it! I especially like the fact that it takes both STANAG and 9mm mags. Not too crazy about the stock though. But overall it's a very nice piece! Did someone say that there's a K2 AEG aswell? Where can I buy that?
fal
I thought airsoft velocities were extremely limited in the ROK? Yes. But this is export model. There is a K2 replica but it is springer made by a company called Academy. It's not an AEG. And not any good as a springer either. Only AEGs avilable are K1 and newly released K7, which both are made by Toystar.
Xeno-Morpheus
So are the Toystar internals any reliable? Plastic body on the K7? Good quality on the outer parts?
Weirdguy
If this is any good I think I will pick one up just so I can get all those "WTF?!?!?!" looks.
fal
I have been told the external finish is quite good. Typical ABS AEG body quality. Don't expect any fiberglass or nylon fiber materials here. There are several metal parts including suppressor, stock, mag release, bolt release, sling swivels, trigger guard and fire selector etc. Couldn't get the full list. If you are wondering any specific parts are whether in metal or not, I can ask. Internals are fully TM/Clone compatible. It appears it uses chinese made gearbox and hopup parts.(most likely CYMA oem) It appears the included battery is POS. But that's not really out of ordinary.
Xeno-Morpheus
Nice! If the price is right I'll pick one up. Will they be sold by reliable airsoftretailers such as WGC, Redwolf, Gunners and such? Hopefully they'll make this one as an AEG and in fullmetal: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...y_version_2.jpg The K7 with a FNC-type stock as shown in the pic above would be really nice aswell
GuzziHero
I want one as a curiosity and as someone has said for all those wtf looks, like I get with the JLS Beretta RX4
fal
Thats K2 assault rifle. It's first time for me seeing it with para/skeletal stock actualy. The standard one has solid stock. There are requests being submitted to Toystar to make metal receiver kit for their K series AEGs. So it might not entirely be impossible to come by. I know WGC stocks KTW stuff, although its short supplied. Some other major online HK retailers also stock KTW AEGs so we will see about that. I have found few pics of real one in use. ROK 707 CT unit.(Military. Not police. Police unit is 868) I belive they use H&K weapons(UMP .45, USP tactical, MP5, MSG90, PSG1) exclusively thesedays but K7 is still in service. Oh yeah they love eotech. I have seen more of their weapons mounted with Eotech than Aimpoint. I belive this is ROK Army recon special ops. The point man uses K7, 2 other guys using K1, and the guy taking charlie using K3.
Xeno-Morpheus
Nice! Thanks for the info and the pics. I want the K7, K1 with skeleton stock and the metal bodies for them
