Kipper
I imagine it just shoots the BBs 40 metres Interesting idea though. A huge C02 shell and you could probably have a bit of fun with this.
RacingManiac
It'd be hard not to peppered all the guys by the mortar though...
hayabusa46
I was think about that too, but in these case where u have the precision? hence the bb in mid-air will change its path due to wind direction with no efect on target...
madwelshman
looks like a Blue Peter special!!! Slight oversight, unless that collar the legs are mounted on is sliding, then its only going to have one trajectory, non adjustable, as the legs are a set length. and the paint looks poo. But its nice to see them using a Brit squaddie image to promote it, I did a google search and couldnt find any decent french mortar team images either....
[BS]_MARS
I've used mortars like this. They are totally useless. It's just like throwing a handful of bbs in the air.
Raffles
So is this basically just a steel tube?
Roecar
It would make more sense if it launched a baby powder filled shell 40 meters and guarantee that it would explode spectacularly on the other end.
azsworst
I could see it being used with nerfs....
RSM
Hmm...this has a 40ish mm tube right? Thermobarics have a 35mm diameter..... Kipper might know what I'm on about as he would have certainly heard the mortars last week
sadigh
Hmm...this has a 40ish mm tube right? Thermobarics have a 35mm diameter..... Tried this with an m203, worked a treat
DarkLite
It's a steel tube with a bump at the bottom to trigger the moscart shell, and the "ejection system" is just a sliding cover on the bottom of the tube. Fail.
masakarijoe
with nerf shells, this would be cool. with explode on contact balls of some sort, this would be awesome. with standard shells, this would be useless. either way, ill stick with my personal M203, but i have to say, having a few of these lined up as a battery would be neat. -Joe
1337grenadier
Looks like something I could nock up in 20 minutes after a trip to the local hardware store. I don't see this product flying off of the shelves.
IRA
we use thing similar to this where i live and the are actually very practical, and are great for use with nerfs.
Skarclaw
I don't see how nerf shells work? How do you know if it lands behind you for example? Working 40mms would be wicked, however there is a reason why we use pyros and bfgs, and not tennis balls as grenades.
Treadhead
Pointless exercise...
wildwattsy
at first and only they use a mortar with 2 stage pyros in it. first bang fires the nade about 80-100ft and by time it hits the floor the delat fuse has ended and it explodes. as was fao asylum in the villafe being shelled by the cursed thing a week back. makes it very hard to hide when its being used against you
Raffles
Catapult + pyro = Better than this.
Kipper
Hmm...this has a 40ish mm tube right? Thermobarics have a 35mm diameter..... Kipper might know what I'm on about as he would have certainly heard the mortars last week Hahah that was brilliant.
Pantelis
It would be fan to use rubber head m203 with this or maybe a rocket madbull shell
Phoenix
I don't see how nerf shells work? How do you know if it lands behind you for example? Working 40mms would be wicked, however there is a reason why we use pyros and bfgs, and not tennis balls as grenades. Nerf balls with the whistles in them?
Panzergraf
I could see it being used with no BB's in the shells, and with a game master ruling out people in grid so-and-so. Mortars that fire BB's just seem useless.
Furey
the previously mentioned first and only mortar is really good. the marshalls told me that my position was going to get mortared, i thought he was a goon that might simply tell me i was dead when the enemy started waving a stupid steel tube about 60 meters away. to my surprise it started actualy lobbing explosives at me with a great deal of accuracy. yikes! run away!
