HeuteGegangen
Hey, I've got an idea! How about you either post pictures, relivant information, or just don't post!
HellsAngel
I'm liking the tactical scarf
HeuteGegangen
Yeah, it's odd that an ODA would need help from a civy translator, they should have at least one or two guys trained to speak with the Georgian troops.
HellsAngel
Nevermind. Edited October 29, 2007 by HellsAngel
HeuteGegangen
No, every member of an ODA is trained in at least one foreign language they might encounter in their area of operation.
HellsAngel
Oh ok, fair enough sorry Does seem a bit odd... So Red Sox won I hear?

HellsAngel
I saw the Red Sox play when I went to Boston the other year, didn't understand what was going on too well lol, but cool none the less
HeuteGegangen
Yeah there's nothing quite like Fenway... good times Pats are next!!!!!
Bondisthespy
?in the last picture the operator with the watch cap is his BALCS on backwards? or are these rangers?
HeuteGegangen
It looks like he's got it on backwards, but plenty of SF guys actualy had custom work done on their carriers to have the PALS from vertical to horizontal (some people even did it themselves!) Bondisthespy
Cool, thanks for the info.
aznsk8s87
'scuse my ignorance, but why would someone have vertical PALS? And yes. The Red Sox utterly destroyed the Rockies.
HeuteGegangen
Designers behind the BALCS thought it would be more high speed for a user to draw magazines sideways from his chest instead of in an upwards direction, though in the eyes of operators this made the vest very undesirable in its stock form. There are pictures of it worn with pouches, worn without pouches but with another vest on top, worn backwards, and worn with homemade horizontal PALS (or even integeral pouches like from SOTech), so there's really no one optimal way to have it set up... Not that that's an issue with the SFLCS set!!
redeemer
is an Eagle plate carrier w/ cumberbund an authentic rig for SF? I got one for a good price, and thought perhaps it would be a better rig for an SF impression then my CIRAS
HeuteGegangen
Eagle PC w/ Cb and Mar CIRAS are both issued in the SFLCS kit (PC has sewn in soft armor, but this is a non issue). To be honest though, it's becomming uncommon to see SF guys wearing armor that isn't the CIRAS or RAV these days; you're probably better off sticking to your CIRAS.
medic23
i would have to agree while the EPC is nice the MARCIRAS is much better IMO because of the mass real-estate of PALS/MOLLE webbing.
reaper16
HeuteGegangen yes isnt it nice the redsox winning, all my friends are yankees fans lol, and no the Boston MLS team is next, then the pats then the celtics lol, Hmm, anyway, would an OD RRV vest be out of the question for SF? if so what about an OD MBSS orOD MARCIRAS? Magsz
i would have to agree while the EPC is nice the MARCIRAS is much better IMO because of the mass real-estate of PALS/MOLLE webbing. Honestly though, for airsoft all of that real estate is quite excessive. Does anyone really need that much room? I never found myself desiring more pals webbing on my EPCWCB. Jorge14
In one of the pics on the 75th Ranger site it has a picture of a ranger (PCU jacket and 2002 MICH) and he has what appears to be a SR-25., am I correct? I'm looking for a primary and I don't want a Mk46 or M4.
christhesecond
Correct.
Jorge14
And in a related note, what color did he spray paint his gun/helmet? It looks like CB but I'm not completely sure.
christhesecond
Rustoleum 1917 khaki
Jorge14
Awesome, thanks. If I was basing my loadout for a woodland team (No tan/khaki to mix up teams) would 1919 Deep Forest Green be an accurate substitution?
Carter
Not sure but I have a question on that color. Is it Ranger-greenish? If not, what does it look like?
