He was hit in the face from a very close distance. One of the BB had penetrated into the skin under hes lower lip and was stuck inside the skin. So he had to push it out like it was a badass pimple ready to pop. It was both really nasty and fascinating at the same time. One of those situations where you find you cant look away.
