Kush88
First attempt on my newest purchase - not done yet, and I'm not entirely happy with the result so far, but it's only a day old. Suggestions? Edited March 3, 2010 by Kush88
ListerOfSmeg
Suggestions? Perhaps just leave it as it is and let it wear off through use? I think it looks alright as it is, and could look quite good when it's been used a bit
SHWEL
Here is another rendition of my ICS... I get so board sometimes , ijust paint guns for the heck of it..
-=OGGY=-
Suggestions? I think the paint job itself is good but it looks a bit too dark (to much black) and could benifit from being a bit less uniform. My .
SHWEL
Looks good Kush, you are def going in the right direction. I do think the black stripes are a bit too thick... But the idea is outstanding.
invisiduck
My first go at a paint job, bit rough in places but i like it.
Can
My SR25 admitidly its a bit rough and ready but I was trying to make it look like an issue weapon not a show piece.
-=OGGY=-
I actually really like that Can. Good job. -OGGY

I do agree that the black is a little heavy, and as Smeg mentioned wear may give it a better appearance. Better pics when it's all done! -=OGGY=-
Looks good except for the mega-mag. I say either take a pic with the mag in or with it out, not halfway. EDIT: Unless taht is some huge custom mag... in that case it still looks weird. Edited March 5, 2010 by -=OGGY=-
Marcino
Good notice Mag =>http://rsov.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=3655 I also think it's too long.
-=OGGY=-
That is strange... there are mags that are that long in real life though (I believe they are 45 rounds). Your gun is still awesome though. I love the wear. -OGGY

Scharf
this is a normal 450rd mag usually suplied with GG guns. It is the SAME size like the RS 30rd mag when they are not in the gun, however due to the hop unit when the mag is in the gun its longer than a RS in a gun. Almighty Toast
Every time I hand paint a gun, it's always sticky and grippy and warm on the metal. Every time I spray paint, it looks horrible. How do you people do it.?
kingdong
same with the ics mags theyre also 450 round mags lol. allmighty toast i do believe that you would be using the wrong type of paint.. try buying some KRYLON instead of normal spray paint i dont know who stocks it in the US but im sure it will be easy to find. luvs2shoot
Every time I hand paint a gun, it's always sticky and grippy and warm on the metal. Every time I spray paint, it looks horrible. How do you people do it.? What type of paint do you use? I usually go with Krylon Ultra Flat Camo Paint -The colors look great and very flat (ie. not shiny) The biggest tip I could give you would be to take your time. Let the paint completely dry before coating it with other patterns/ layers. -Shin Here's my M14 I painted awhile back with Krylon. The paint is very flat and I used a cardboard cutout for the tiger stripe pattern
Agent Hunk
Nice painted 416. I need to pick up some more paint for mine soon.
Saila Cilbup
Luvs2shoot, that has to be one of the most tastefully customized M14s I have ever seen. The paint job looks very professional too.

jagillham
I put this one in the P90 thread, but that thread is dead, lol. So thought I'd share my efforts here!! White trades just used a wax crayon. Filled in the lower receiver trades with wax, Krylon'd the whole thing, and then removed wax with a pin. Has resulted in some chipping, looks better from afar! Might have to paint round with a tiny art brush or something! Flash takes some of the colour away, but it's a Khaki one.
Kush88
That's some pretty meticulous work there! Excellent job my friend.
