TDS
Seen in action, these things are AWESOME by far the best, safest grenade out there I'm tired of getting 12gauge BFG's thrown at me

Azulsky
What are the rough dimensions of it?(Wondering what kind of pouch its going to want)
The Saint
As long as the thing is robust enough to really be thrown against walls and such Plenty so. When I first threw it, I was worried about the same thing. By the second throw, I realized I was worrying about nothing. Although, you're not suppose to be overhanding it against the nearest steel beam or player's head anyways. Underhand toss is far more controllable and safe.
Weirdguy
Okay, but the problem is that this won't work when you pull the pin and run into the middle of an enemy group with it in your hand.
manchovie
As long as the thing is robust enough to really be thrown against walls and such we did some durability testing at the shop and i was very impressed. i spent an hour loading the grenade and throwing it at a radiator and it resulted in nothing but superficial damage (paint transfer, small dents) to the unit. reloading is rather quick and painless too: remove bottom cap, open plug, reset shuttle, close plug, insert pin, fill gas, fill bb's, replace bottom cap. i can also attest to the killing power of the thing. during the various tests, it seemed to really have it out for me in particular and i ended up with at least one beeb in my face at almost every discharge. during the durability test i had one throw where it hit the edge of the radiator and bounced behind a low storage unit. the spinning force of the grenade on discharge actually popped it off the ground high enough to peek over the edge of the unit and shoot a single bb straight into my mouth. i'm genuinely excited to see how our little guy changes the average skirmish. What are the rough dimensions of it?(Wondering what kind of pouch its going to want) i purchased an LBT 4x flashbang pouch and unfortunately the compartments were far too small. you'll need something that can hold an object about (don't hold me to this exactly) 2in in diameter. i've yet to order a smoke pouch to see how it works. Shard
In ref to Weirdguy's post : All the better if you're silly enough to run into a room holding a pyro or some other grenade type thing... Looks awesome though, these bad boys could really work down my local urban site !
DagNasty
How soon will it be out? How soon will you take my money for a pre-order?
Jenkem
AI owe me a new set of pants, because the awesome-induced boner I got from this announcement tore right through the denim. me too! I want one of these bad. Gonna change the way I skirmish. Grenades won't be this "pretend" thing you throw and hope people honor the 15~20 blast radius. with this they get hit and thats it. amateurstuntman
Looks good, how many bbs does it launch? If you can get the price in the ballpark of the Dynatech (or below please) I'll be in the market for a couple.
wyrwolff
If they're a decent price, these are gonna' be BRUTAL at Ft. Ord >
WildCard
Manchovie: you don't by any chance have a video of your testing would you? I really want to see what this thing does when its free to do as it pleases
Airsoft Innovations
Manchovie: you don't by any chance have a video of your testing would you? I really want to see what this thing does when its free to do as it pleases We were very lucky with one of the high speed shots that captured the grenade going off completely unconstrained. It's going to be part of a later video release at the end of the promo series. We're going to have to be annoying and dose out the high speed video as we near product launch as we're still working on the promo series. It's actually a bit exhausting working with this material. Each shot eats a couple gigs and the animation isn't all that easy to make. It doesn't help that we're a bunch of amateurs too. A lot of this work is a new experience for us, but it's exciting and fun at least. It also doesn't involve power tools so we can have a beer while we work.
liquidflorian
If they're a decent price, these are gonna' be BRUTAL at Ft. Ord > Even at an indecent price they'll be brutal at ft. ord! You're doing wholesale orders right?
Catman
Well I'm glad to see that it looks the holy grail of gas grenades isn't far off. After so many years and disappointing products (I'm looking at you Deep Fire/Escort!) I'm sure I can wait a bit longer One question though.... what does it sound like when it goes off? I take it that it's more or a *brrrrrrrp* rather than a sort of *bang*? Looking forward to more videos and pics before being able to buy one edit: proof reading ftw p.s. well done to Carl Chong for the nagging
monkey530
The price was estimated to be $85-100. But seems worth it due to the fact there is custom parts, a good timer, and etc. I mean seriously its from AI so it has to be worth it. This looks good more a bouncing betty project . It is also supposed to be lob friendly meaning you won't seriously hurt someone if they get hit by the actual grenade not the bb's, different story. I don't think he is doing preorders yet since he didn't announce the final MSRP. He did take some preorders at TAC-08 or whatever. He plans on releasing end of March if everything falls through with his machinist or whatever.(Info from ASC you can go there if you want to verify).
The Captain
That price actually isn't too bad considering what it is, what it does!
monkey530
Yeah, compared to all those other grenades... I like the fact I don't have to look for parts and etc or get special gas canisters...
liquidflorian
Are these BATF compliant for use it the ol' US of A?
uscmCorps
Congrats Carl! Like I said, I'm down for three or four whenever pre-orders are available. Question 1: Someone else asked this ~ What pouches would hold this product? Flashbang pouches? Looks too big for M203 pouches. Question 2: Seeing as the only thing that a user can loose is the ring/pin, will it be possible to buy spare ring/pins? Question 3: Are you still thinking about selling brightly colored sleeves to replace the current sleeve for users that worry about loosing the black grenade? Or do you feel a colorful streamer attached to the grenade will do the job? Question 4: You've mentioned the 3 second timer and hinted at other user adjustable timer settings. Can you comment more on that? To me 1.5 secs seems too short, but 3 secs seems too long (unless you get used to cooking the grenade). Question 5: Unit weight? Simply can't wait to get these. And a video of it in practical use would be awesome!
