chas
If you think they are, move it to that other thread. Pics of the M82: http://www.tacticalgeardepot.com/product_i...products_id=549 And of the M99: http://www.tacticalgeardepot.com/product_i...products_id=550 BTW: they both look pretty finished and ready for production to me. Lets hope so. Oh, and the mag should definately be longer: http://www.barrettrifles.com/rifle_82.aspx
Pendra
Very same pictures here: http://www.power-dy.com/show.aspx?id=2759&cid=5 HurricanE M82 or 100% copy of it. For 0$ I'd take a dozen . Where does the M99 feed from? More importantly, why AEG. The real M99 does not even use mags, it is a single shot, bolt action rifle.

my_plague_666
typo perhaps? a boltie M99 would be nice. be a pain if it was single shot, but a hidden VSR style mag and it's be pretty sweet.

TheFull9
So, you want an impractical, unsafe airsoft gun?
Beast06
I wouldn't say it's impractical if it was 8mm and shooting a million fps
Panzergraf
I wouldn't say it's impractical if it was 8mm and shooting a million fps Impractical unless you like going to jail for murder after every skirmish, then But yes, semi auto 8mm GBB with enough fps would, IMHO, be the only way to do those kinds of weapons justice in airsoft, even if they won't be the most practical guns on the field. Noodle_2000
The mag looks like it has an M16 VN mag shoved in it.. if thats the case possibly it can be easily swapped.

Lets hope so. Oh, and the mag should definately be longer: http://www.barrettrifles.com/rifle_82.aspx The M82 is a direct copy of the hurricane kit. The receiver was made too short on it so as a consequence the mag is not only not long enough to be the same size front to back as a real mag, but it is also way too short. It is also missing the rear sight post and flip up front sight. It is also missing the barrel springs inside the receiver. It will leave your craving for an M107 unanswered. PsychoStu
Okay so I'm with you on the "most M82's are not practical for in the field use" front. The primary use for such a big rifle would be long range sniping right? Since we don't get a lot of call for sticking a depleted uranium round through an engine block from a mile away to stop a APC in airsoft - mores the pitty :-) So your main enemies to having a truely effective rifle for this purpose are the 6mm spherical round being very hard to keep aerodynamically stable at distances over 30-35 meters at a safe FPS (where safe is based on UK limits). You can use a heavy round and a physically larger round like the 8mm would be the way to go, but you still have the issue of spheres being a bit ###### aerodynamically. So what about a rifle designed from the get go to shoot 8mm version of RAP4's Airfin round? The increased surface area of the 8mm round would mean it safer for higher FPS deliver (less chance of a skin breach - min engagement distances would still need to be enforced). The tail fin would provide much better stabilty than a hop up and you could introduce a Tanio Koba style twist barrel to increase stability. I've actually been considering modding my KJW M700 to allow the use of 6mm Airfin rounds (its actually only the mag you need to mod there is enough clearance in the chambering of the round that the gun shouldn't need modding), but like so many fun things in my life at the moment I don't have the time :-(
masakarijoe
WHY AEG?????? BWAAAAAA a springer M95 would be amazing. i would get it. a gas M82/M107 would be cool. but an aeg? with a hicap? i need to start avoid the news section, for it is making me depressed. -Joe
