Architect
Had my first try at this yesterday but wasn't very happy with the result so just touched it up a bit. Specs: CQBR Eotech 512 HWS Rico Alpha 9 Taclight Specter MOUT Sling OD Magpul
devilsb
How do trades stand up to being painted? I'm thinking of painting the CQBR i've got in the post to me, but its got one of those G&P bodies with the fancy markings and I don't want to loose them. Its tricky. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i cant think for the life of me whats its called but if you go into an art store and ask for paint on masking tape they should know what you mean. its a substance that you paint on then it dries and once you paint over it you rub it off and its masked it off and doesnt paint the bits you dont want painted. hope this helps Rev
El_Boomo
my G36 project. the plan is to have all three barrel lengths to swap and change.

My dad used to use it for airbrushing stuff. Might be a bit of a pain painting that into fire selector markings though...

Surreel Big Fish
My M15a2 is painted like that for a reason. I play a lot of woodland and it helps for me in my style of hit and run gameplay. The AK that belongs to mate on the other hand, god knows why he painted it. It looked better all black. Souske
Um, my first try, just painted some old shotgun I had. Also, I didnt really have any good colors to paint with, so it came out somewhat of a autumn theme. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very nice! What airbrush did you use? I know for certain you can't achieve a pattern like that with spray cans...as it looks free-handed.

RSP1
Well... you'll either see in a couple of weeks or it won't work out at all. I'll hold off on mentioning what it is, since there's a good 50% chance that the latter will be true. Right now I am waiting on another order from Unco, and until that arrives I have no surefire way of knowing whether or not it'll all work out as I thought. LORD_SEX
Replaced my old grip, for the old school one, have to decide if i am gonna paint it or leave it black... Suggestions ?
Fuser
What is around the grip? I like it as is, not painted. And I would greatly appreciate it if you'd share with us the painting process you followed, or if you'd PM me about it...because that is a damn good job.
jar|-|ead
I suggest leave it black. Plus i'd also like to know how you did your weathering job.
