BroadSide
Is it possible to attach a sling?
TSI Armories
yes - there is a front sling loop that can be mounted on either side, and a pass through hole in the rear of the shell that is designed to take a paracord loop, that again, can be run from either side and act as an attachment point for a sling. A common question we get asked is what type of sling works with the gun - the answer is all.
Mig1
By side rail I assume you mean the rail that fits opposite the charging handle, is that correct?
TSI Armories
Correct.
BroadSide
If I ordered one on pre-order to England would I get it by half way through July? I think i'm definatly going to get one now . but i'm not sure how pre this pre-ordering is.
TSI Armories
With our production schedule going the way it is, the answer would be yes.
BigBabyMoses06
If we want the accessories that are being offered with it, should we wait to pre-order, or secure our copy now, then buy them separately later?
Optomis
A few questions if you don't mind me asking: What will the approximate pricing on these be when they hit retail? How hard will they shoot out of the box, specifically the standard Tar-21? The release date is the 30th of this May, correct? If so, can I preorder one on the 29th and will it still be considered part of the preorder? How long will shipping take to Tennessee after production gets rolling?
TSI Armories
OK... a few answers and a few clarifications: 1. Pre-order has already started. There are only 100 units available world wide for pre-order. Once they are sold, the rest of the production goes to the retailers. 2.You can pre-order the rifle, and order the accessories separately, or do it in any combination that works for you. 3.The deluxe version you get if and ONLY you pre-order contains both of the outer barrel lengths - CTAR and TAR. 4.The MSRP will be determined by the retailers, not us. It may remain at the $550 it is now, but for a standard version with only one barrel, and it may be higher. Different restrictions, import and shipping fees may raise the price if you are located in Europe. 5.Stock FPS is 380, tuned lower for GB, Scotland and Ireland. 6.Expected shipping date is late June, early July. Puding
where could i find this duluxe vrsion on the web site? at the moment i can find no referance to a vrsion shipped with both barrel things?
TSI Armories
All of the pre-orders will ship with the dual barrels, except the S.T.A.R.
Sayeret
Will the gun come with a battery or must the battery be purchased separately. Without inner barrels, what can be done with the outer barrel?
Sonny
Just pre-ordered mine. The CTAR is listed on the website as $540, but shows up as $550 when you check out. Might just be a mistake listing on the website. I would assume the price would be the same as the TAR. If I read correctly, The CTAR and TAR comes with both barrels? How hard is it to change them out? So basically the only difference in the pre-orders is the inner barrel length?
Sayeret
When you went to paypal did it say TAR or CTAR?
Sonny
I clicked on CTAR, and it shows in my paypal receipt as: Item# CTARaeg
TSI Armories
The gun does not ship with a battery or a magazine. The inner barrels can be swapped from short to long in case you are going for a little more accuracy, or want to build you own S.T.A.R. variant and freely switch between it and a C.T.A.R. for CQB play. TSI Armories
Sonny - you are correct. The only difference in the pre-order models is the inner barrel length. We will address the pricing mistake on our site.
Sayeret
What battery do you recommend for the Tavor?
TSI Armories
Any large "brick" type will work, or any LiPo of your choosing. In our R&D unit, a 9.6v 3000mah battery (combined with our PCB and MOSFET board) gave out the same fire rate as a 10.8v battery or a gearbox with a high speed motor installed...
