DahlTR
I have bunch of gear I haven't used in a while, including a DCU FLC, DCU BDU set, MICH 2000 and SDS pack. Could I throw together a SF or early OIF/OEF type loadout with all of this? Perhaps throw a woodland or dcu cover on the 2000? Any feedback for what I could use this for would be great, figured I'd put my left overs for a good cause!
Sgt. Kinnaird
If you had a DCU SPEAR BALCS vest and DCU SPEAR ELCS pouches, that could possibly work with the FLC, if it is the non zippered kind. Dont put a cover on the MICH though, spray it tan.

voodookid88
Where does one acquire a resin ANVIS mount like that?
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
Are their DCU pants custom jobs? I don't recall Crye making DCU combat pants. Â
pkm200901
crye made them. check the shirts. it's a complete set.
USRanger709
CAG gets a lot of special little goodies that noone else can have. Yes, they got Crye Combat shirts and pants in DCU.
Sgt. Kinnaird
Crye makes a lot of custom stuff for certain units that we usually never see.
lightemup99
What would it take for my Kit to be transfered to a post 9/11 Army SF kit? Â Thanks! Â Â Â Â

voodookid88
Â Â Modded Desert night top. Seems kinda CAGish but hell if I know.
lightemup99
PEQ 2/a over a PEQ 15 Â Ok, are there any more things that could be more period correct?
sigma3
Watch "Inside Special Forces." It's a NatGeo special, it's on Netflix Instant right now or you can I think stream it right off NatGeo's site somewhere. They follow an ODA in 2001 Afghanistan and Iraq 2003. Plenty of pretty pictures for you to take in! Â Off the top of my head, though, doing that period correctly would mean: Â - probably replacing the ALICE belt with a more modern pistol belt - replacing the 1911 with a M9 or Glock (unless someone can prove me wrong) - likely painting the M4 and replacing all the Block 2 stuff you have with Block I Â A ballcap would also be far more typical than the boonie you're wearing, but that doesn't mean it's "wrong." Jolly15
A kit list would help us with making your kit better as well. Â Sigma got most of it right, but I'd say no Glock for an early impression Maybe de-tacticfy your chest rig or get a standard Chicom 3 cell. Nomex flight gloves if you wear gloves 203 shell but no 203? buddy carry? Something bigger than a MULE if you really want, like a 3 day pack.
lightemup99
Well for a kit list heres what it is:  First line: Alice Belt Dual .45 mag pouches 203 shell pouch, will add a 203 to my gun at some point. Serpa 1911 holster 1911 BCS soft armor carrier  Second Line: SKS Chicom rig EI frag pouch (custom attached to chicom rig) 2x Icom F4S Radios, w/ handmic OD Shemag   Third line: CamelBak MULE   Thats basically it. I would like to change out the boonie hat for some sort of hat/helmet, can I get away with a Mich 2001 w/ strobe? Edited March 4, 2011 by lightemup99
