Puding
anyone know why they switched the finish?
Username_Here
My bet would be because it's either cheaper or faster to do the current finish. Â Especially when their first batch sold out so fast when hitting the stores, I'm sure they needed to do something with such the large demand for the V.2 Batch? Â At least that is just my current baked theory
EatTheGras
And now it looks more like A&K ...

Lajjvo
We needs refpic asap! Â Well done mate. For my, untrained eye, it looks pretty much spot on. Im sure theres people who disagree though, but it looks pretty darn good. Realsword based huh?
tangloppen
Yes, based on the Realsword. The front sight i missing, the barrel is a bit to short, but this issue will be fixed soon. Â Needs the Bipod and paintjob. Â Refpic. http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn19-e.htm
Horsem4n
grip is a little bit too far forward for my tastes, but it looks awesome! get that front sight on there!

tangloppen
I will post text at some point, but for now there is some pics from the build. Sadly, by accident i errased some of the first pics i took, so there is only a few pics from the build. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
counterassasin
I really hate the fact that the newest v2 svds have that non shineyness to them. The earliest v2 like mine had the nicer looking body but I head the newest v2 have some new stuff inside the gearbox so I geuss theres a tradeoff.. Â What other features than the Anti lock-up switch does the newer SVD's have? I've only heard about the switch. Â Tangloppen: Nice SVU
Trasher
Congrats for the SVU! Looks like a *relatively* simple conversion.
howitzer
tangloppen you did a great job. Any plans to mount a front sight?

Wingmann
Very, very nice replicas in this thread!  Here's is my A&K SVD with laminated wood furniture. The chinese weaver mount already broke, but I had a Bielorussian one ordered at the same time. It should arrive soon for another photo session
tangloppen
It looks better than i thought, using a Rail mount and a non russian scope. Guess it would look even better with a M1 scope
schneiderboy
hey wingmann, where did you order a belorussian weaver rail? Thanks
Wingmann
I bought mine through ebay. Search for POSP BP-02 SVD or SVD WEAVER. Â I'll try to take some pics tomorrow with sunlight so you see the difference. The one I have now is MUCH more solid than the chinese one.
Cyclone TAW
Reviving this thread again it seems...  Anyway, this is my latest addition to my arsenal. The A&K SVD springer with klinsky woodkit, ordered from taiwangun. Added to it, is a realsteel POSP scope and the SVD steel bipod from hexagon productions. Not a lot has changed internally however, but that's not the point of these threads, now is it... :-p     Sorry if the picture quality isn't that good. My skills with a camera aren't exactly spectacular...
