The Crunchy Bunny
Dont do it. There is no point to paint a gun one solid color. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In a woodland envirnment a OD gun is a hell of a lot better than a black one.......
Kingmob3
True but nothing screams TANGO like a blob of ANY solid color in the tree line. That being said, I'd do OD over black, with one exception, a truck bed liner paint job, which is on my to do before the end of December. Also keep in mind that with things like Chalk precipitate or mud you're rifle cam be made to match the surroundings quickly, and rinsed clean later. KM
binarypunisher
In a woodland envirnment a OD gun is a hell of a lot better than a black one....... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, AFAIK black isnt really a color that appears naturally in nature.

[BS]_MARS
The reason I was saying that painting a gun one color is dumb was because if you're painting it, the point is to camouflage the gun so why not use more than one color and paint the whole gun?
Bizurkur
Because some people like the look of solid color guns, despite the fact that they aren't tactically ideal.
ollie_ty
Has anyone heard any reports of ACM SL8/9 conversions? This would actually make my day.
Levett
Theres a BE SL8 out. I'm just happy that my SL9 is now actually a real weapon! The SL8-6 has been released by HK, which for all intents and purposes is what airsoft calls an SL9.
ollie_ty
Pfffh. Damned VCRB means i can't get one. Maybe i could get the parts off someone..... And By the way Levett, Airsoft Extreme sells the CA G36 folding bipod, separate from the foregrip
Levett
Thanks mate, if only you were a few days earlier! I've literally just now sourced a bipod off one of the G&P foregrips in a part exchange. On another note... heres a picture of the new SL8-6 from HK. My question is this... when will we get a replica of those magazines? The real steal magazine seen in this picture holds 10 rounds. Heres a link to the specs: http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/rifles_sl86_specs.html Whats also interesting is if you look at the brochure from H&K, they show it with an Aimpoint... Seems odd. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I asked myself the same question, but not only for the G36 series, the G3 30round mag as well Props to Ferretkiller who found this pic.

HellsAngel
I'd love a 30 round 7.62 magazine... I've wanted one for so long, they also look so sexy in Fals Bet they'd make one for the M14 and nothing else, that would look awful, not to mention be blasphemy!

XaVierDK
On a related Mag-note, why are the G36 mags so "thick" and clumsy, compared to M16/4 mags... They supposedly hold the same number of rounds, in the same caliber.. Why can't G36 mags be smaller? Best Regards
babybackribs
Because they are made of a polymer which has to be thicker to withstand impacts unlike normal M4/M16 mags. They also have those clippy things on the side.

Oh jeah en the dummy bullets in the lowcaps is just "Teh Sechs"
The Badger
The Badger made one of those 10 round mags once, it didn't work, but at least he tried damn it!
CapaciousZepher
Badger also apparently talks in the third person It's too bad nobody makes those 30 round mags for the G3. Looks pretty hot. Someone should tackle a custom job. Perhaps a real steel mag with airsoft internals? Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
BP-anon
Don't diss the Badger... he kept it up for a helluva long time at ASR. Years, even.
LuckyPSD
Now because work blocks some images for me I cant tell but who was it who made the glowing UV style rounds in the G36 mags and how did you go about it?

The magazines are unnecessarily large, you can't really argue with that....

The Sig rifles have slimmer magazines also...? The magazines are unnecessarily large, you can't really argue with that.... Gonna have to agree with you on this one. Its not that the magazine walls are particularly thick, its that they have that HUGE stupid bumper on the bottom that almost effectively doubles the width of the magazine.
