scorch
The above does not make me smile, however the whatsapp group is alive with "Lets go play on bikes!" and I have a hankering for lycra. I have a similar WhatsApp group, though judging by the lycra bit I assume very different bikes.
Mike_West
Is that the legendary Corrodo? I expected something... more rusted. Also, did I mention I got a raise this month?
Tinkerton
you can't adequately see the bottom of the drivers door, or the nearside wing, or various other bits in that photo, so it doesn't look so bad
shmook
Tink, that is *fruitcage* sweet!
DeltaZero
Yup that's awesome! Nicely done buddy! Glad you finally got there!
scorch
So what was your time?
Tinkerton
Initial viewings of the video say about 14 minutes something. But my suspension is knackered and I think I'm down on power, going to do a compression test when we get back to the uk, and I've not driven the ring before so next year I'll be aiming for around 12 minutes, if not under. scorch
So... slower than a girl in a van? Gotcha. Just kidding. Respectable time for a first timer to the ring.

Tinkerton
Do a leak down testYeah I'll probably do that as well. Need to decide if something's wrong if I'm keeping and fixing or buying a refurbished engine for 800 quids and doing a swap.
Alias1983
Rebuild, wait till it's broken in so it's in solid shape. Turbo, maybe a 16g or something slightly bigger. Edit: nvm you are a v6, TT FWD not fun. Can you do a 4cyl swap? Go all out and make it awd. Can you even do that?
Tinkerton
Where did you get v6 from? Its an incline 4 cyl super duper charged. Awd is an option but a major mechanical undertaking, not something I'm interested in to be honest.
amateurstuntman
Put a jet engine in it. Or a Merlin.

amateurstuntman
I'll just check behind the sofa for coins. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Hardcore1-6
I have a similar WhatsApp group, though judging by the lycra bit I assume very different bikes. I don't know.. My *albartroth* hurts now - same end state?
scorch
No, not the same end state at all. In fact, my seat is rather comfortable and my suspension has electronic adjustment to best suit how I'm riding, so my *albartroth* never takes a pounding.
spetsnazdave87
so my *albartroth* never takes a pounding. Snigger.
DeltaZero
Jesus, delta! "oh yeah, my dad has a few merlin engines spare just lying around." Rather impressed! They aren't his! The bloke that runs the restoration projects just gets them when he can!! It's a pretty impressive hangar.. Last time I was there they had 2 half built spits and 4 flying spits + 1 hurricane.. I think they're due a P40 soonish too... It's like heaven!
Tw1tch
Man love the sound of a Spitfire. Don't suppose they want to keep Vulcan flying too?
Hedganian
Sadly, the Vulcan had to be grounded due to the maintenance companies withdrawing support.
