I don't want to sound rude, droid, but do you have a tl;dr version of these posts for mobile users? I do appreciate your posts though :)

I swear to god, this weather's gonna kill me.

At least it certainly would if I drove a car to work.

Seriously, since the beginning of the week, I'm a *fruitcage* zombie. I'm completely drained. Good that half of the next week is a convenient pile of national holidays and I have a surgery scheduled on Monday after that, so I'll get some rest. Of course this doesn't change the fact that the weather will still be complete *suitcase*, but at least nobody's planning any photoshoots or grill parties!

Why does the weather get you down so much Mike? I just let it be, might get wet or whatever but it doesn't affect day to day life or your ability to do anything does it?

Not trying to be harsh, genuinely trying to understand so I can maybe offer some help if I can.

That might be the problem. It has an effect on him but he does not understand why (or how) to counter act such affect. Thus the feeling of complete and utter annoyance over something you can not explain or control.

I went out with someone who was like that and it was a constant pain in the *albartroth* for them.

Of course, this is a huge assumption on my part. Massive even.

I have the sort of process in which I understand it all, but I just let it continue for some inexplicable reason.  Folks tell me it is lack of motivation, conviction, the lack of getting out, etc., but I find being told that repeatedly has no effect.

Anyone else getting antivirus warnings from "boomarms" when opening topics in tabs?  Keep getting it for some reason.

Back on topic, mike, have you considered if it's SAD? (Seasonal affective disorder or some such). Both me and mrs tink are noticeably less happy in the winter months, and a couple of good 'daylight' bulbs do alleviate it slightly.

Tink, apologies.

It posted the same, err, post, twice. I edited the second. Meant to report it so a mod could remove it but forgot.

Please remove the edited post...

Edit to this, I see you already did.

Really don't understand why I'm in the *suitcase* right now...

Another edit, I didn't get a previous verbal warning to make that the final one. Really not trying to antagonise you, but I haven't got a clue what's going on here.

Lone Bullet, sorry hun its not really something you can TL;DR but basically.

The target system is wank because it means they have an incentive to not acknowledge stuff till they can hit targets and make the process so hard you die or give up so you aren't affecting their targets.

The current system trying to prevent people abusing drugs makes it hard to get meds and coz of that I get treated like im a smackhead when they *fruitcage* up and put me through withdrawal

The NHS system means it doesn't matter if you've done x before they still demand you try it when seeing a new specialist because 'policy' in order to access the bit that actually helps.

If i ask for help with the paperwork side of stuff potentially they could decide im incompetent and assign me someone to look over my shoulder and manage my affairs including manage my money for me meaning i have to beg someone for permission to spend my own money and get pocket money doled out by someone else only allowed to have so much of my money at any one time.

The NHS has doctors who don't speak English well enough to be understandable and those docs being of a different culture occasionally allow their morals and cultural background ti influence how they treat patients meaning because my hip moved and clicked into a new position during sex the conservative lutheran doctor decided because i was 16 and unmarried that wasn't actually an issue that needed looking at.

People tend to do stuff to 'help' and make decisions without asking me either what i want or what I can do physically and get *suitcase* with me when I get unhappy with that.

The system is *suitcase* because it makes things needlessly difficult so much so that it feels like their trying to drive you to kill yourself because of the stress and worry in order o stop having to do anything to help.

The ultimate TL;DR LOL answer is the government are *Ubarflock*, they could *fruitcage* up a wet dream and gov targets and policies only make things harder because you aren't a person you are a number.

Stunt, thanks im glad to be back, you are all awesome people because you put up with me whining and offer advice.

On that note how easy is it to replace a think pad keyboard?

I am not excluding the possibility, actually.

Also, I ran out of booze. Good that the paycheck arrived on Wednesday.

Release the ban hammer. . .

(I wanted to put that in capital letters, but fear of the BAN Hammer stopped me from doing so).

Ah *suitcase*.

Your threat was too reasonable.

He would have known you were joking if you'd threatened to send the Arnie's SWANT team around to his house to remove his double posting mechanisms (thumbs).

Surely that's a ban-page?

surely that's a ban-page?

Balls!

I had a 3 hour conversation yesterday with my friend from school.

I hadn't spoken to her properly since about 15 years ago.

She has just gone through unsuccessful IVF and wanted to talk to someone in a similar situation.

We spoke about Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Ayrton Senna, Life, Death, the bleakness of existence and the cruelty of a society that measures success in children squeezed out.

We both had a bit of an existential crisis.

We are both unique and interesting but have both shat out.

I think she is going to ditch her safe job deporting crims and go back to international human rights.

I have one from a previous relationship.

Neither myself or the wife want new ones.... Constantly having to justify that choice.

It's a strange world we live in.

Never got that way of thinking:- you have to be in a relationship. You have to own a house. You should have children. Etc

Don't hear people say things like 'hey, what ever makes you happy do that' (if you can or if it's legal).

True story:-

Bump into an old school mate and we start talking about school. Ends well and there's no unpleasant moments. Nice. Bump into another old school friend and they're freaked out that I still bought star wars toys and hadn't settled down yet (this was back in 2006).

Judging people by relationship statistics or if you have children, or a house, is a bit nuts.

Edit:- which makes me hypocritical as I am married with two children. But I don't expect or even in courage others to be the same or that I am better because of my marital/parental status.
