Tef
from ARMS japanese airsoft magazine, WA is making the new USMC standard issue M9A1. same as normal, most obvious changes is the added rail :

DarkLite
And people said the HFC M190 wasn't real.
snowman
Indeed, but to be fair, the M9A1 was announced in May 2005 Cheers.
DarkLite
Indeed, but to be fair, the M9A1 was announced in May 2005 Cheers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bah. So the M9A1 is a replica of the HFC?!?!? Zomg.
snowman
It's possible HFC knew about the M9A1 when they made it, or it may just be a logical combination of Beretta designs (There was never any logical reason NOT to combine the rail and curved backstrap, just Beretta didn't list one). If you wanted to be really picky, you could argue the HFC isn't a replica of the M9A1 as the slide design and chequering on the grips are wrong Still, one less reason (if it ever was) NOT to buy the HFC Cheers. Trasher
Another M9, how original! This one has groundbreaking potential... (yawn)
Bada Bing
Oooo another Beretta for my mitts to get! WA too This is the real steel version, or something similar... rtsp://real.atpco.gannett.edgestreams.net/blackwater/2004/04bw_beretta.rm http://www.armedforcesjournal.com/blackwater/?s=2004_videos
snowman
Where did you find this M9? I can't find it on the WA site. I assume it's still a Magna R system rather than SCW/2/3? I agree it's not as exciting as something totally new, but I can see this being quite popular with US load out skirmishers. Cheers
screamin_weasel
lol cant they copy any original design ideas ? why do companies not realise that by releasing a gun not done before, they can make a killing ? i mean come on, as much as i hate to admit it, a 5-7 made by ANYBODY would bring in gazillions of dollah. even i realise that
snowman
It's always said that the worldwide market is tiny compared to the domestic Japanese one and they, seemingly, only want 1911 variants and Berettas Cheers.
kliskey
By the way, are all WA ABS? I presume that this one will be the same?
snowman
Yes, (except the frame of the SVI 2011s), because metal guns aren't allowed in Japan... Cheers.
Connery
Yes, (except the frame of the SVI 2011s), because metal guns aren't allowed in Japan... Cheers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you sure? I thought it was just that they couldn't be sold if they were metal.
Catman
lol when I saw the topic I thought "I bet it's a 1911" but I was wrong but this is just as bad <------------- wants something "new"
Zero_DgZ
Wake me up when they make something that isn't a 1911 or an M92 variant. Give me a Makarov or a Luger or a even a Glock for chrissakes!
Guinness
lol cant they copy any original design ideas ? why do companies not realise that by releasing a gun not done before, they can make a killing ? I'm confused..... Isn't the point of Airsoft to play with "replicas" ?? I mean isn't that why we get all the tac gear, uniform impressions, etc, to play 'dress-up' (sorry I said it out loud ) and all that so that we can 'simulate' what it is like to actually carry the real steel whether is a M9, 1911, USP, M4, AK47, whatever the piece that turns you on into 'battle'? -G
Sledge
Er, I think the point is, it would be nice to see more than the same three guns released by every feckin' company, ad infinitum. There are more than Berettas, Colts and Glocks in the world, y'know?
Guinness
ahhhh......well to quote Emily Litella...... oh.......nevermind
doom6668
I've heard about this gun called a" Browning Hi power" or something, that sounds nice. I'm pretty sure theres others as well.
Mathub
Well, good news if it comes out with scw system.. When you buy a WA m9, you have a working decocking and full trades. Not something common on other brands... Let's hope someone will make a metal kit (not sheriff please, I want trades and a medium price tag), because there isn't a good metal beretta out there. Guinness
along that line, here's a couple that I'd like to see as alternatives to the 1911 and beretta arms race- From the Heckler & Koch family From the not-yet-saturated Glock family
snowman
Is that the best you can do?????? A couple of USP variants and another F***ing Glock!!!!! Cheers.
Shao14
Hehe. I wouldn't mind another M9 in my armory. *damn MI3!*
Catman
pssst if you really want a Browning Hi-power tanaka does one click with the 1911 "war" (yawn) on our doorstep I'm glad to see WA moving in a bold new direction. So come on...which "brave" company is going to step up to the mark and start producing new stuff (as in proper "new"...ie not been made into airsoft before) You know... Russian pistols for exampe? Some chinese pistols? FN-FiveSeven? Hmm I'll stop there before the thread turns into "Dear Father Christmas"....
