Weirdguy
I KNOW some people are going to go crazy over that cheytac
elrey
Interesting - I sure hope these don't end up being vaporware. I probably wouldn't shell out a grand for one, but it's nice to see some more exotic sniper rifles being produced. Edit: On second thought - DAMN those look good!
angel_wings
Gas powered.....Sigh there goes my idea of actually using one
TerranCmdr
Omg now we can all be Candyman!
scithe
Omg now we can all be Candyman! lol, woopee really though, those rifles look beautiful. though they do look a little bit toyish, especially the dsr-1. i wonder how they will perform though...
Royal-Air-Force
Well, Candyman's gonna go ape *suitcase* As Elrey said, it would be brilliant if these actually appear. Edit: Screw high-end companies, the chinese are copying Candyman.
Hispeed1
HOLY CR@P! That AMP is in use by Germany's GSG. That Cheytac looks nice, an alternative to the now hard to find Barrett M82A1 .50 cal. Not useful to lug around the field, just for a collection.
uscmCorps
I'll probably buy the DSR-1 (so long as others report it doesn't suck). That said... the pricing is starting to go into the Right Hook Fabrication Sniper Rifle price range. And chances are that would out shoot this DSR-1 by a lot... sigh... decisions decisions decisions...
-Drake-
Oh my... I want one. Edit. I love the PGM and M200 below it aswell =D

olaman
This. This is just sick. I'm buying that DSR, no fruity doubt about it. And I'll buy the CheyTac even more when it's released. Man. I just got horny.
{{RommelsElite}}Pz4
Wow... Any idea on the price?
chas
Maybe the best externals I have seen on an AS gun!! have you noticed the caliber markings on the muzzle device: "Lapua...."? Sick! I have a spanish weapons magazine ("ARMAS") and the DSR-1 is on the cover and has almost 10 pages of an article on it (it has been purchased by the GEOs). The accuracy of this replica is stunning, the different finishes of the various parts are amazing. Here are a lot of pictures of DSR-1s in various calibers and barreel configs: http://www.gun-world.net/german/r/dsr1/dsr1.htm In case you are wondering: "WTF!? two mags!?", the gun is a bullpup, the front magazine is put there for quicker mag change. -Drake-
The DSR-1 will be released on mid August, suggested retail price will be around $1000 usd. Every package comes with a M3 style 3.5-10 x 50mm scope, a scope mount, and 2 Magazine!! From the description in the link.
IronWolf
Looks stunning, lets hope it doesn't turn into another Maruzen DSR1 fiasco... Oh and a pic of the RS in use to wet the appetite:
ianhaz
Im quite worried, because i know i will have to buy that cheytac, but how im going to afford it or how im going to skirmish it (assuming its going to be massively heavy and big) i don't know. But i do know i have to buy it
TDS
The gun appears to take the same magazines as the star aw338, either that or they are DIRECT clones. Ive heard many complaints about the 338 performance but mine is pretty good, this project may be why star is finally releasing new gas mags, they had to do a new run for these guys. Ascendance610
Has our Candyman been cloned?
crimsonfalcon07
The question, as always, is performance. If these were cheaper, or not gas, I'd certainly be interested in them. But a new gun from a new company for 1000? I don't think so. I'd review one, but I don't want to be the one to spend 1000 on something that will doubtless have to have lots of kinks worked out. And that's if it turns out not to be a scam. We'll just have to see.
felix4536
$1000-4000 dollars???? lol save your troubles and shoot at a range it will be more fun.
AnakChan
I went to take a look at these today. I must say the DSR-1 is very well constructed. Was told the price will be under HKD$5000 and will be available around mid-August. The guy also told me that there will be two versions, a Japan version which would be about 0.9J and the HK version is about 1.2J. Unfortunately the grip is only for right-handers. I didn't touch the PGM, but the M200 was *huge* and heavy. No price or availability on the other two. Here are some URLs to the pics :- http://www.tkoverkill.com/gallery/DSR-1PGMM200.jpg http://www.tkoverkill.com/gallery/DSR-1.jpg http://www.tkoverkill.com/gallery/DSR-1Close.jpg http://www.tkoverkill.com/gallery/M200.jpg P.S. no really my butt isn't that big, I've just got a black satchel...
